So what have you done today..?

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by figaro, Mar 17, 2012.

  1. If you hadn’t, how would they know? What’s the penalty? As you say yourself you feel absolutely fine. I’m only asking out of curiosity, obviously nothing can be done about it now.

  2. « Impossible Climb » was happening today in our village, hosting the national championship final. Amazing weather, Mad Max style show, loads of bikes, some nicer than others… :D

  3. My dad and I have mentioned a few times about going to one of these. Must do it next year!. How would we find out dates and locations?

  4. Did the A4069 mountain road today, one of the best roads in the UK according to Clarkson, but since big gob has told the world all about it, they’ve made the whole thing a 40 limit. Did a recce to make sure there were no police, then took absolutely no notice of it!

  5. If I had an accident, one then was bad enough for investigation, they would see my medical records where the knob doc wrote not to drive. Even tho he saw me after I’d be in 12hrs, for only 3 mins, and his written comments bore no relation to the conversation we actually had! So my insurance may be invalidated and, if someone died, I could be prosecuted for man slaughter. The regulation is simple, if you believe you may be disabled or unable to emergency break if you have an AF event you report it. Or if a doc says say. If he had t, as they didn’t when I had it before (and far worse) then I would have been able to make that judgement myself. I could be in an AF and it would not impair my ability too drive or emergency stop, I can feel it coming on and have time to take appropriate action to pull over safely before it gets so bad it may make me dizzy (which only happens if I stand up after laying down - soon as I sit down I’m not dizzy. Frivon8ng isn’t done standing up.)

I feel depressed about it. I’ve given myself this weekend to wallow in self pity. Then I just have to get on with it until they assess my case. Luckily I have some great friends who are offering to run me around for golf, pick me up and drop me back for other days out, and a really excellent understanding employer

    Pragmatism must play out.

There are a list of illness on gov.uk
    It's surprising what's on there
