Lovely day here, warm sunshine all the way, heading out myself for a couple of hours shortly. Go for it -carefully!
Just fitted a pair of 320mm RS front discs using Pro Bolt Race spec titanium M8(1.25)x20mm bolts and discovered that I still remember how to wirelock by hand because I couldn't find the pliers. Andy
Met a mate on his R6 and had a nice little blatt to Devizes. Heated grips on min with some new kit keeping me warm and bike effortless to ride regardless of how dodgy some of the cross country roads on. Great to get out Off to pick up Mrs B's new car at 1530...after watching an England tea, actually giving 100% to win!
Just fitted the fuel level sender unit using my new alloy nut made and supplied by Andy, (final edition) tank now sat on the work bench until morning checking for leaks. Thanks again Andy. Steve
Made the most of the sunny weather and rode down to Loomies for breakfast with the other half (on his Kawasaki this time, not the 695, so he could power his heated waistcoat off the bike battery). Think I spotted Bradders and his mate before they headed to Devizes (unless Hampshire is crawling with moustachio'd tippytoe Multistrada riders). Came home and bottled the winter warmer beer we made a few weeks ago. A day that results in a cupboard full of good beer is never a wasted day (though may result in many a wasted evening over the next few months, as the current batch is around 7% ish)
Went to the NEC - sat on a few bikes Didn't seem overly busy - lots to see better than last year KTM and Monster were highlights Wantz just looked at other orange stuff
I went out this afternoon for few 'laps' of my local circuit - first time out on the 999 for over a month after the hideous soaking I got on the way back from Anglesey in October. In the meantime I've had to replace the ignition relay as it was well fooked. And I'd (almost) forgotten what a FAB bike it is. Absolutely LOVED IT: despite not having enough layers on for 5 degrees I didn't head home until it was nearly dark and my neck was aching from the incessant shivering. Awesome machine
Went pheasant beating with my son today which was great. Now watching TV with my 2 daughters annoying the hell out of me, wife has got the hump over don't know what and I feel several more beers coming on or else I am off out to the pub to get pissed !
I can't see the point of pheasants. By the time you've cleaned and cooked them there's naff all left.
