  1. I’d love to, Nick and my lad do I think Nick is over 150 donations) but I have a habit of fainting if they don’t get it in first time. Nothing I can do. Overactive vasovagal, apparently.

  4. I've decided that i'll not have anymore pumped into my system, my choice and good luck with your recovery sir.

  5. I was 50/50 with the latest booster, but took the view I have it in my system anyway, so went ahead.

Sore arm, bit of a headache.

Genuinely not convinced it's a thing any more?

  6. Had a good ride out on the Multi yesterday so today is clean up day and tomorrow is the Classic Car Show with Uncle Baz.:p

  7. Having seen the effects it had on a friend who will never fully recover from it I don’t want to take the risk of catching it.
Bit of a sore arm, headache and it totally tied me out. Slept on and off throughout the day.
    vaccination number four.
    Feeling fine today.

  8. Since the early hours of Tuesday morning my days have run into one
The better half decides she needs the toilet. She wasn't fully awake and walked into the wardrobe on her way to the floor clattered the bed and let out an earpiercing scream.
I managed to sit her up and then lift her onto the bed
She was in agony with pain in the groin and thigh
I rang 999 and asked for an ambulance. I described everything that happened and the retort was were not sending an ambulance make your own way to an A&E. If you need anymore assistance ring 111
So Mrs H is sitting on the bed she can't lay down and can't stand up.
I was at a loss. I've basically been told to fuck off and sort it yourself.
I know a little knowledge can be dangerous but the annual 2 day first aid courses I had to attend for the last 43 years weren't wasted
I was pretty sure her hip was dislocated but it was pretty real her femur could be broken.
In the morning she said the pain wasn't that bad and asked me not to fuss
We live in a small cottage and space is a premium. It was going to need some special equipment to get her downstairs.
Throughout the day she practiced standing up but she couldn't put any weight on her leg.
I made 2 crutches but she couldn't use them. She spent the night sat on the bed or practising standing
In the morning I had enough and rang 111 and let rip. They eventually conceded and said they would send an Ambulance but it could be up to 5 hours
A paramedic in a Volvo turned up 30 minutes later. She immediately upgraded the call and a few minutes later an Ambulance and three more Paramedics turned up.
Mrs H was taken to Scarborough Hospital they pumped her full of morphine and sat in a queue.
Anyway the result is the top of the femur has broken clean off
They have decided instead of 3 months traction they are going to replace the whole hip
I am truly pissed off I have worked for the last 52 years paying thousands for NI and get F***ed over like this

  13. Let's not spoil this thread with an ongoing debate, but it was a personal choice, albeit with restrictions for those who chose not to. Save your life and go to Spain :D

  14. Almost got blown off the A66 this morning on way to Williams BMW for a new kill switch. 40ft artic got blown over a few 100 metres in front of me.
I almost lost it 5 times. Was bloody scary.
