Finished the the deep clean and ACF application I started a week before Christmas! Only just finished cleaning up the mess...!
After an unfortunate incident with the neighbourhood watch, I’m now required to get dressed before putting the washing out.....
Took dog for a walk and now going to the gym. The past two weeks were generally filled with TV and chocolate. I do not expect this to go well.
Got the old Kawasaki out and did about 75 miles out to the Cotswolds and then round to Stratford upon Avon and then home. Luckily the winter fairing l fitted kept the wind chill off me (not).
A pleasant walk this morning, followed by a couple of odd jobs. Popped to halfords for a £10 cycle bag. The wife came as she wanted to look at a new bed in Dreams, 2.5k later it's being delivered at the end of the month. I did mention I didn't think there was anything wrong with the old one, she said a bit like your motorbikes. I soon shut up!
Replaced the old, blown laminate flooring in the kitchen. Frustratingly, some of the sheets wouldn’t “click” or lay flat. If it’s not the base floor and it’s not the fitter, it’s got to be the product. Close inspection of the tongues and grooves revealed a blunt router must have been used and once the excess material had been removed from the joints, we steamed ahead. Hallway to go ……. next weekend. I think the pub is going to cook and wash up tonight Andy
4 mile dog walk this morning, then a trip to Wisley Gardens, so I needed a pick me up on the way home, so we went to the pub. Going to stick Netflix on in a bit, get stuck back into the Xmas chocs, and mix up a cocktail or two. I’m going down in a ball of flames, before the regime starts back up tomorrow.
Drove to Scotishland for a ferry to Nortern Irishland, hopefully the rabid gammon isn’t working in the same workshop as me for the rest of the Month.
New Year’s Day with the little grandsons, a visit to… Loads of different animals.. Huge fruit bats, about 4ft wingspan.. Shitloads of Lizards trying to scrounge some of my chocolate muffin,….no chance! The little fellas feed the Roo’s.. Plenty of Roo’s including this 6 legged one !…..baby Joey in the pouch. The Koalas are pretty boring tbh, apparently they sleep for 18 hrs a day,…I think they were on the lash NYE! Lyle, Lyle Crocodile!…..all 2.5 meters of him! A Dingo in bed with a hangover… This just brings home how far away from home and your loved ones ( my 899 ) you are ! Good day out and always a good laugh with the little men
As it was dreadful day weatherwise i decided to take a friends mum to East Surrey Hospital today as the friend's in Italy at the moment, letting her use the bus service there and back is unacceptable in my book with crap weather. She said on the homeward bound journey she couldn't understand a word the Doctors & nurses said to her.
Workday one of 2023. A morning of dreaming up what my team will do this year and a fancy new job title for me and an afternoon of compulsory e-learning
