  2. Got my Exact belts and some Dzeus fasteners delivered, ready for 1098 service next week.

So, regular service, plus belts, fasteners and fork seals (seemingly required every 18 months!)

My plan this year is to get rid of the QS and get a regular clutch (and OEM cover) as opposed to the slipper it's running from prev owner.

Am slowly working my way back to stock.

  4. Really? The slipper makes the gear braking so much better imo. I'd never switch back.

  5. Sat in a local church, listening to a covers band called Carbon Copy. They are raising funds for new toilets. It's so shit (pun intended) we are having an awesome evening :joy: Andy

It was kind of like a sweet pastry tube that was grilled and rolled in a finish of your choice?
But other stuff was like OMG :scream:! I would have loved to treat you to one for your birthday @Ducbird if you weren’t 11,000 miles away ;) Feast your eyes on this lot….

  13. Never fear,….I’m planning a re-match when I’m not full of Porchetta belly pork !

It’s all part of my master plan to try and put a bit of weight on..
I’ve been hitting the gym, trying to eat more ( as you may have noticed ;) ) necking some protein drinks and limiting myself to one 80% heart  rate ride on the pushy per week …
I’ve been taking this for a few days now…

Gives you 1,252 calories, 50grms of protein and 254grms of carbs per serving..
So far, I’ve LOST half a kilo  …just grrrrr:triumph:!!

  15. Don’t rub it in. I can walk 60 miles a week. Stay off the beer. Eat 2300 kcals per day. Look at a cake and put 2 kilos on!!

  16. So far, not a lot. Just been co-opted to get in the loft and scramble about looking for something we don’t need… heading for a 6 miles walk carrying 12kg and smashing a little white ball soon

Warner today. Must be time to get back to sorting bikes.

  17. I’ll assume when you state gain weight you mean muscle weight. Hard ask as your years advance, I found eating 5 smaller meals a day and a protein shake worked for me along with Creatine supplements. That was a long time ago though and I’m sure nutrition has moved on.
    Good luck though.

  18. Learnt the sad truth about never assuming muscle growth/weight as a given as the years role on, just as you say. Best example was a college mate who at around the age of 30, had a difficult (as in time-consuming) tib/fib mend in hospital resulting in a noticeable slender calf which he later learnt was for life even at that age.

  19. Correct, muscle gain I’m after, but as you say I’m fighting my advancing years, I’ve always been a hard gainer, I can put it on if I stuff myself with food and move a bit of metal, but I struggle to keep it on.
Earlier part of this year I was riding the pushy too much, about 4 or 5 times a week and I dropped to 77 kgs, my clothes were hanging on me, back up to 82-83kgs now which I feel is a healthier weight for me but I’m still in a 32” jeans, that’s about as much as I’ll gain now I think
