  3. Had a new electric roller door installed at the garden end of the garage this morning, replacing an old and rusted, metal roller door that's about 20 years old now. Bought the least fancy, in white and of a size to fall within the Garolla special offer of £895 fitted. Can't fault the chap who came to fit it, neat and tidy and took as long as it needed to ensure the door was fitted and functioning properly. Andy

  4. Got a verbal 7 grand quote for four tiny windows to be replaced on the back of my house, including vat.
Got the paper invoice an hour later via email, excluding vat.
They must think we’re fucking daft (and I bet some people are sadly)

  10. After a few days break left Mullion Cove, went to Cadgwith Cove, Kynance Cove and St Ives and ended up eating a nice sea food chowder in the longstore, Charlestown. Pleasant few days and sunshine.

  16. In sequence order.....
Read a 15 page financial report about my current pension arrangement
Rang my new doctors to get an appointment to see them about a couple of things
Had a video call with my pension company to restructure my pension
Went to the doctors, gave blood etc
    Came home, made lunch
Put the sprinkler on to water the new turf to the back garden
Spoke to an old colleague on the phone for 90 mins, catching up on stuff
I'm now about to have a cup of tea and start watching series 5 of Orange is the New Black.
