  3. At the airport waiting to fly home.
Great time in Malta, lots of great sights and food!
Also popped into the Ducati store, the smallest one in the world if you discount the airport stores. 5. Was really nice, average of 18c so we were able to do lots of walking comfortably. But after speaking to the lady in the Ducati shop, we found out we were lucky with the weather, it was torrential rain with some flooding this time last year.

  6. Me too

  7. Well I was going to do some gardening this morning but as soon as I stepped outside the heavens opened. So I went back in, made a latte and chilled.

Now having some lunch then I may go to a couple of garden centres just up the road, for a mooch.

  8. Ordered several Brennenstuhl premium-line 4/6/8-gang leads because a 400Volt (3-phase on farm) surge has destroyed. All of the transformers in my humble abode; phone, three laptop chargers, router & splitter hub & may have destroyed my A1 printer but I dare not delve that far. Plus several units have suffered the same fate on the farm. Cheers pickmore

  16. I promised I would post some photos of the weekend and finally managed to get Google to more or less show where we had been on the weekend.

    Hanoi-Ba Be-Bac Kan-Dong Mo-Bac Giang-Bac Ninh-Hanoi.jpg

Door to door 589.7 km. Day 1 we rode up to Ba Be National Park about 210 km. The roads were good, but there was section of about 50 km (90 or so km from Ba Be) that was more like a finely curated collection of potholes than a road. Challenging...

Day 2 was from Ba Be back home - about 380 km. The section from Ba Be down to Bac Kan (the petrol stop before Song Cau) is a really lovely road to ride. All mountain, plenty of twists and turns and some quite steep (10 %) inclines and declines. The road from Bac Kan down to Dong Mo was more relaxed with a lot of fast sweeping bends. All good fun and as these are not main routes, there is not too much traffic to contend with.

    Some pictures:

Day 2 - ready to roll.

Day 3... Back home and ready to start cleaning

...and done. Not "concours" condition, but CETR... clean enough to ride :)
Was a great two days with some interesting roads and great scenery!

    Until the next time.

  19. Great photos, I’m guessing it was challenging in full bike gear and not the standard use of flip-flops and shorts.
