  1. Luckily, I switched alerts off on my phone the other day, so was able to snooze in peace.

  2. Closed my final ever twitter account on that absolute cesspit of an app, that horrible gargantuan space nonce isn’t getting another single bite off me and i sincerely hope it breaks him forever (buying Twitter that is, not my leaving).

  4. Last session in the gym before our week away tomorrow. I don’t normally drink in the week, but as I’m now officially on holiday, it isn’t mid week any more, so I’m enjoying a beer or two.

  12. Sorry to hear that, I had it a few weeks ago, it was far worse than the last time I had it.
Heard on the radio late last night that there's a new variant about.

    • Thanks Thanks x 1

  16. In response, Prof Spector, the founder of the COVID Zoe app, tweeted: "XBB could be the new variant to watch out for .. in 2023."
XBB.1.5 is a mutated version of Omicron XBB, which was first detected in India in August.XBB has been found in at least 70 countries, according to the World Health Organisation, causing surges of infection in some parts of Asia, including India and Singapore, in October.
Studies have found that the strain is capable of evading antibodies from previous COVID infections or vaccinations.Concern about XBB.1.5 is largely based on how it is currently spreading in the US and it has not been listed as a variant of concern by the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA)

  17. There is certainly a "healthy" spike in cases here over the last two weeks or so. Some folk seem to get off ver lightly and some get hit quite hard. Everyone I know who has gotten COVID recently has been double vaccinated and double boosted and all have had Covid at least once before. Seems we are possibly headed down the same rabbit hole as two year ago...

  18. Sure did @Gandalf ..when I was up on that log I noticed that all the “boys” were sporting “ Chimp’s arses” …right bunch of baldy nappers :joy: :joy: !!
But as usual, it wouldn’t be a bike trip to Scotland without a visit from the puncture fairy

Took a couple of attempts to fix this bugger!
Got back home at about 2:30 pm this afternoon, we covered 1,276 miles in total, basic shot of routes…

  20. The only difference being that this time, anyone with a modicum of intelligence won’t be suckered in to the total bollocks that it clearly is.
