I visited Northumberland for the first time in my life a couple of months ago on the way to do some of the NC500 in the motorhome. It was the night of Storm Otto and we were on a site in a very exposed spot right on top of the moors, so we took a real battering. The dog was petrified and I woke up at 3am to find him spreadeagled on my chest with his face to close to mine that when I opened my eyes, all I could see were two huge nostrils, like this.
Vietnam. Among the older generation, foreigners are still regarded with some suspicion, but in general it's a great place. If not I would've left long ago, but after 20 years I still can't find a good reason to leave. To be fair things have changed a hell of a lot in the past 20 years, mostly for the better. Covid and the government's approach with lockdowns did a lot of damage and things are only now starting to slowly improve.
Ah, ok. Your avatar has the Lithuanian flag on it! It’s probably for the best though, as I imagine Vietnam is far too hot and humid to be chasing 5 and a half ounces of cork and leather around a field all day.
It is that. The flag is random depending on the VPN server. Right about the temperature, Saturday and Sunday were both 38 °C in the shade, not great for anything that needs doing outside including riding motorbikes. Roll on October
I was like that over here last summer. Most of the grass went brown, many pitches that weren't as well looked after as ours became dangerously unpredictable due to cracking and the outfields were like concrete, which meant a lot of futile and exhausting chases to the boundary.
Nothing exciting today just two replacement featheredge fence panels, plus the garage lock changeover for the client / friend. PS what's the funny little car.?
Citroen Ami https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citroën_Ami_(electric_vehicle) Just €19.99 plus P&P when you collect 10 tokens from packets of brioche and croissants.
Not so clever with only a 47 miles range, but probably a hoot a minute 4 short journeys in the urban jungle.
Just keep an eye out for them in rural France, as I’ve seen one or two being driven by folk that enjoy a bottle of wine for breakfast, then go for a trip to the shops.
Getting lunch ready to take my steroids ready for treatment this afternoon It doesn't know wether to be grey or sunny here today
