Rode home, another great day. Just over 1800 miles on the best bike I’ve owned, and with the best company, mine. This one will be hard to beat.
Tonight I’m in the Algarve, at a beach bbq, listening a wonderfully laid back playlist and feeling very mellow.
Sounds good, I know, but this is the food queue. I’m starving but looks like I’m not eating for a while.
Still really warm in Germany, the last night staying in Aachen today. Not the nicest of hotels but a nice city to visit. Stopped at the ring on the way up. Channel tunnel bound tomorrow. Can't believe I've not seen a drop of rain in 9 days riding all over Europe. Had a message, can I start work early Monday morning, back to reality
I went to Duxford Summer Airshow yesterday. I left Friday morning because I decided to stay over one night for a short ride in on Saturday Morning I stayed in a pub just south of Swaffam. The room was pleasant nothing sparkling. The food was very good. I had fish for starters and main
Further to the issue of the rear brake spring... I found that the rear pedal needed adjustment to the lowest setting to feel comfortable. Problem was the brake light pusher was then angled so that it didn't press the brake light switch. Solution, replace the pusher with a stainless M6 coach bolt. see the light section of the picture. This has a much larger smooth head and a 7 mm square section, useful when tightening the locking nuts.
Prepped for a day out on the bike, but called off as weather looked like it would be shite for the return leg. Went to golf, played well and got wetter than if I'd gone out on the bike. Having a sort out of stuff I have in the garage and will never use - tip or Facebook Marketplace to test my scammer senses are up to speed. Home cooked Sunday roast (not by me ) with the kids and grandkids to come.
