  3. Went to the Blue Bowl in West Harptree. Epic burgers there.

  4. When I went into the cinema earlier it was 17. When I came out it was 24, so I’m also sat in the sun with a nice crisp G&T.

Wagon and horses not too far away used to be v good but owner josh Eggerton changed things during lockdown and I’ve not been back to try it since.

  11. I'd an hour and half on the excavator and then lunch at a friends, then the final 22km's on the The Tour, the best tour for many years for all sorts of reasons.

  12. I wasn't aware that he lived there, luckily!

Our friends we went there with have lived in that neck of the woods all their lives, and aren't massive foodies, so if you can recommend any other decent pubs that do good food in the area, it would be handy to know for next time.

  13. Hope you enjoy your trip, despite the poor weather, and stay safe. :upyeah::motorcycleduc:

  14. Packed for this weekend's trip to Wales. Remote campsite, but we have a shed - they call it a pod or something fancy, but it's a shed. Need to take a sleeping bag, a pair of shorts and a poncho, because the weather is never certain.

Owner takes you to and from the pub, feeds you and is generally a good egg.

Three days riding on some cracking roads. Five of us, but split into a two and a three for there and back. Will be a blast.

  15. Had the car serviced at the dealer this afternoon, conditions of the 5 year warranty : unamused: Good job too, mechanic found a leaking thermostat housing which actually wasn’t a surprise as I’ve been topping up the expansion bottle on the odd occasion. What was not expected was the £1200 estimate to repair it :astonished: The nice lady in reception contacted SEAT and hoorah, the job is covered by the warranty :D Andy

  17. Half dismantled the Transalp in Italy before putting it back together and noticing the kill switch

  18. Edged over to the left south of Beddingham roundabout to let a 916 past, gratefully acknowledged and then, due traffic it was still there until it peeled off into Newhaven harbour. So yes, a 916 is as fast as the Citroen van in front of it. What’s the effing point?#Get me out of the stupidly overcrowded South East.

  20. Today I walked into Whitby from Sandsend…

Forgot it was school holidays and the place was mobbed out  !

For lunch I inhaled a large lightly battered cod with curry sauce…( that’s the “dog poo” :poop: looking substance on the top ) ….

Washed down with a fine vintage Dandelion and Burdock :kissing_heart:

£14:15 for a cod, a tin of pop and a bit of dog poo :astonished: !!

Walked back to Sandsend and got very wet :splat:
