So what have you done today..?

  1. Christ what do you get for 95 quid?

  2. I don’t think you will find the families who are really struggling, choosing to pay £95 per head to enter an event, to pay exorbitant prices for fast food!

You would be more likely to find them at home.

  3. Sounds good. Pics please.

  4. Drove back from the sister in laws in mid Devon. Had a nice few days there but of course the traffic today was awful, it was very slow going. Took our time and didn’t get stressed though.

Sunday, will visit the Stamford Classic Car Show in south Lincolnshire with Uncle Baz.

  5. IMG_6301.jpeg IMG_6299.jpeg IMG_6287.jpeg IMG_6285.jpeg IMG_6281.jpeg Lancia track day yesterday, nothing like the forecast apart from rain early morning. Casualties as a result were a Ferrari 328, an Integrale and Triumph TR3. Ferrari owner was absolutely gutted as no insurance of course.

  6. Entrance! There’s a few cars going round the track (apparently the same ones every few hours), loads of food vendors, and some live music in the evening. They had some decent acts, but between those, there were dj’s just churning out loud annoying bassy durge. I think I may be getting old! Overall it was a great day, but just massively overpriced, IMO.

  9. no, and I wouldn't have taken them anyway, having been at the target end of this many years ago, I liken people who do this to vultures.

  10. It’s hated by locals, 6 weeks of disruption, traffic mayhem, vehicles way too large for the country road, destroying the tarmac edges and grass banking. Andy

  11. I read this morning that Chris Evans rolled a Tuk Tuk yesterday doing donuts, showing off to the punters. Andy

  12. Yesterday I was out on a RoSPA bike session with an associate, we called into Pronto Bikes Ltd in Frome for a coffee, excellent as always. Despite them being busy and short handed in the workshop they kindly found and gave me two new front brake calliper bolts/screws.

You can park in the Palmer street behind them and for giggles after ride up the cobblestones on Catherine Hill.

  14. I can imagine. The one way system they put in is a pain in the arse.

  15. Damn, I missed that! He was still on stage in the evening, unfortunately.

  16. Booked a Module 2 A1 motorcycle test for the lad. A very short waiting list booked today for 2 September.

  17. Langan’s yesterday afternoon and then Ronnie Scott’s.

Today, full English followed by David Hockney exhibition and a few pints. In between helped a forum member fix his back brake…the things I do! Just off to Dishoom.

    Back up North tomorrow.

  18. Sounds great!

  19. Went out on the bike for a few hours, had a great ride, until some little prick coming the other way thought it would be funny to throw an egg at me. Made a right mess. Ten out of ten for aim though!

I can see the funny side, if that’s the worst crime they commit, then that’s good. I can’t help thinking what would happen if they did that to someone more nervous and inexperienced though. Not so funny then.
