  1. There’s always one, but I wasn’t expecting it to be you ;)

  2.
My sacrificial concert was a Doors tribute band, but really Springsteen is borderline cruelty . He gives excellent value for money though so I’ve heard, 3 hour concert. ;):D

  3. Nor run around, allegedly.

  4. Or even desert you?

  5. Haven’t been skiing since 2017, next February we are going to Banff Canada with friends, so dug the skis out for a clean, sharpen, wax and binding adjustment at a local shop. Excited doesn’t come close after a tough year.

  7. A lovely part of the world. The golf course is fantastic (not that you'll see it for snow at that time of year) and the train through the Rockies to Vancouver worth every penny. Have a great time. :upyeah:

  8. Changed the light bulb in the oven….exciting stuff

  14. Had it about 2 weeks now, don’t expect it to disappear quickly. Not sure where it came from but it comes and goes and makes you feel like you’re running a few cylinders short. An hour of coughing every morning, I’ve never liked Oysters.

Best thing I’ve found is get some exercise, work up a sweat and it disappears. I’ve been out on my E-bike pedalling as much as I can but tellingly much slower than my usual time round a 14k circuit. Massive improvement in feeling of well-being though, so more of that.

No enthusiasm for riding motorbikes, which is very, very concerning.

  15. Played in my first winter pairs comp at the new golf club.

A little wet, but warm and fuzzy inside winning 4 and 3.

  16. Mrs YMFB wants a summer trip to go on the train.

  17. Swim, gym, then took my mate out for the day who’s ripped all the tendons in his arm, so needed cheering up. Didn’t take long to get him laughing again. Back home for Turkey & ham pie (pie mix from last Xmas), and a few glasses of red for dinner.

  18. I would thoroughly recommend it. Mrs GG rollicked me for upgrading it to Gold Leaf (on the advice of someone who had been on it) but conceded reluctantly afterwards that it was worth it. I've always enjoyed Gordon Lightfoot's "Canadian Railroad Trilogy" but listening to it on the train made it a bit more special.
