  1. Pre booked, can’t remember cost it’s a few years ago now.

  2. 40 miles a week? You need to use more fairways :)

Train the hound right and it can have its walks on the golf course. :upyeah:

    You're welcome. ;)

  5. Where did you end up eating?

  6. As it happens I bypassed the usual Chinese restaurants and went to Try Thai, which if you know it, is in China town.
    Beer after at Beer Moth.

  7. That’s the plan. I play 6 days a week when longer evenings come in, and mostly on my own weekday evenings and back 9 rarely has anyone on it so perfect for him to get his exercise and me to get a game

  8. I used to live in the little yang sing, even with the bad drains, bit it got crap, so only frequent Happy Season now - it’s amazing if you go again.

The Rice Bowl, just off King Street is the oldest in the city and oddly not in Chinatown, but always good food.

    Hungry now :yum

  10. Manchesters Chinatown was once magnificent, but along with many other concentrated food locations, lockdowns changed it forever. Chinese, Thai, or a lap dance are now readily available.

To be fair, the lap dancing has been there for twenty years :D

  12. Spoke face to face with a specialist in mitigating the problems of damaged soft tissue in the knee today. Trimming the edges of a tear in the meniscal cartilage is classed as routine, minor surgery but the recovery period of 5 to 6 weeks would definitely keep me off the bike. Which, according to his list, would put it in May and June  Decisions, decisions. Andy

  14. Just clearing away the last bits of christmas, a few bits of yew branches in the fire grate, I lit them and the whole chimney went up.
It sounds like a jumbo jet, Fire Brigade, soon had it sorted, no lasting damage, just a bit mere clearing up.

  16. Swapped both front wheels on my Vito after hitting pot hole my N/S rim was dented and tyre wouldn’t hold air, decided to put the spare from my first Vito onto the O/S front as it was close to it’s legal limit.

Fitted new toilet seat and draft excluder to the rear door.

Took old car battery to my local bike mechanic rather than the tip as I know he weighs them
    in for scrap value.

  18. I had it done Andy, it’s worth it. It didn’t take that long for me to recover, but I was a little younger then.
Apparently a piece of the cartilage can protrude into the knee, and could lock the knee ?

  19. i have about a dozen batteries to go, it's just making the effort innit? ditto used engine oil..

Today i am drinking honey plus one lemon's juice plus ginger extract for an unusually tickly throat, first cold i've had for over 4 years which is a bit freaky but good overall. Yet to have Covid even.
