Got all mine wrapped this afternoon, as I mentioned in an earlier post I don't have the patience to wrap like the picture, apparently I start off wrong using parcel tape. but this year I cut it with scissors instead of using my teeth so I'm heading in the right direction.
Today was brightened up by my daughter and her partner turning up to spend Christmas with us.I havn't been out of the house for 10 days and was getting a bit manic.Mrs Mervyn made me laugh when she pointed out I looked a bit like a homeless tramp with my coat,wooly hat on,and my not shaved for ages look.Good thing my family loves me.
At the Apple shop, I seem to be the gift wrapper. This is because I know less about Apple stuff than my colleagues, although I suspect I am also better at wrapping things than most of them. So I've had a lot of practice of late. Top tip: for best results, use double sided tape which you can hide under the paper. Use ribbon and do the magic scissors thing to get the ends to curl up. Mind you, I'm glad I don't work in a perfume shop - those girls are shit hot at gift wrapping. Not sure what it's like in the UK these days, but at this time of year, pretty much any shop in Switzerland will gift wrap stuff for you on the spot and for no charge.

When I bought my Desmo with the GP pipe, I didn't notice that it had the Rosso belly pan on, instead of the Team Verion. You'd be amazed how many are like this when you look on the net. It's always bugged me so I decided to paint it today, as i bought the basecoat a couple of weeks ago. Dug the original belly pan out for comaprison. Measure the stripe width. (Result !...it's 1" wide and I had some 1" masking tape lying about) Use the 1" tape to get my stripe width correct. Make upto the 1" tape with fine edge plastic tape and remove the 1" tape. Paint the white basecoat. Demask and apply the 2mm pin stripe. Then prep for 2K clearcoat. Going to let it harden overnight and polish up tomorrow (probably if I don't drink too much)
Could have done it quicker than that- some red wrapping paper, and double sided tape. Easy peasy .Did you not see GoGs advice..... Yours is ok though

Went to work yesterday but did bugger all, so there's no point going in today. I'll take advantage of the extra day off by getting in the garage for a few hours, then join my mates for a few pre-xmas jars. Like I need an excuse...
