So what have you done today..?

  1. 8am this morning the gypo neighbours decided to come onto my property and cut my hedge and completely destroyed a section of it. When I asked them what they were doing they called the police on me!
I think it’s time to sell up and move on, I don’t have the energy for agro anymore and things will definitely escalate and end badly for everyone including me and I’m too pretty for prison. Very very stressed.

  4. Sorry to hear that, they are a fucking blight on the civilised world and unfortunately supported as a minority.
Sad to say but if only for your mental health moving might be a serious option

  5. I tried calling 101 yesterday and there was no answer, I couldn’t believe it. After a sleepless night my wife persuaded me to call them again this morning and I reported it all to them including the threats before Christmas. This will make things much much worse as I’ve now got the police on them.

  6. Thanks mate, I did say to my wife that they will tell the police I called them some slur (I didn’t) as it’s a get out of everything these days. Had a big chat with my wife yesterday about moving and she doesn’t want to jump to any rash decisions, plus the cost to move will be enormous. I also told her if she comes home and there’s a note saying don’t go in the garage then call the police and let them handle it. I don’t deal with stress very well , never have.

  7. I assume you looked at the Traveller Eviction Service. A popular alternative option for landlords and their representatives, is using a common law remedy by directly instructing a court enforcement company such as Court Enforcement Services. This option means that the landlord doesn't require a court order – so avoiding legal fees.
Criminal damage to your hedge and resulting police interaction may have some leverage one would expect.
One thing is for sure get a bigger padlock for your belongings.

  8. They own the land and have done for 30 odd years. Believe me if there was a way to remove them the houses behind them would have found a way, they formed a group years ago to try different legal ways to get rid of them.

  9. Spent most of yesterday catching up and watching Moto GP. :)

  10. Reversing my van onto the drive from now on so that the side door is “house side” and relocated one of my cameras to hopefully catch the toe rags next time

  12. Hope they didn’t get anything, the b*&£@rds

  13. Luckily we were still up and Mrs heard them, opened the blinds and they legged it, tried to break into a neighbours van too but gave up and tried mine so they aren’t very good at it.
They’d be pretty disappointed, the only power tool in there is an electric screwdriver.

  14. I've one on the rear of my van door as well, it's been there for four odd years now without any rust building.............total tossers.!!!

  15. You’re lucky/unlucky, the usual entry method is to peel the top of the door over. Mate who’s a plumber got all his doors done in that way, all his tools are in a safe box bolted to the floor of his van. He didn’t lose any tools but the repair bill was horrific, advised him to remove the decals from his van that advertise his trade and fit fake campervan windows to prevent a repetition.

  16. @Wasted Time Lord with dpd they have a tracker system that you can see where they are and how long it will take for them to be with you
Just like the doctors your number 58

  17. Seems this is the new favoured method of entry into transits, they cut/drill a section in the side door next to the slide rail as the lock is behind there, the AA man who was out that morning swapping over a tyre told me that’s how they got into his. Used to be to Jimmy the drivers door lock as it used to unlock all the doors until Ford issued a software update to stop that, they did that one to my van 5yrs ago.

  18. He’s not the only one I know who’s van has been broken into using the peel method, just his they did all the 4 doors on his van.

  19. Golf comp this morning. Strong score with a chance of a win…
