I know what you mean. I've got a couple of episodes of some shite or other I've recorded that I can watch in a bit.
Sadly no. Xmas doesn't excite me in the least, but it's a good time to catch up with old mates and family, and that nearly always involves booze. Xmas day and boxing day I probably won't touch a drink.
Rode the bike to work yesterday without checking the weather report..ended up coming home by train due to high winds in Weybridge..woke up this morning to find the trains from Waterloo all cancelled, so can't get to work! No huge hardship I guess..though the Honda may be spending Christmas in a car park.
re: high winds, spent a lot of the evening watching 2 trees in the back garden - both still up this morning Thank God
Have you considered just leaving it down? Radical I know, but may just save you heartache when this happens.
Every time I see one I ache with Jealousy, I genuinely think that's the coolest bike ever made and I long for just a go on-one let alone owning one. Amazing.
I live in central London, but work close to the old racetrack/museum. The bike will be safe enough until I pick it up next week. Catch up next year when the weather improves? Would be good to get out more on the Duke.
I have chopped wood this morning for the log burner tomorrow, 12 for dinner tomorrow and I'm not driving this year hooray. wife has nipped down the shops to collect the meat order so I am having a quick cuppa before I scrub the kitchen floor. Seems to have the hump again with me or is it the pressure of preparing for the big day ? anyway Happy Christmas to all !
I am at work, hoping my boss will kick us out soon, but somehow I think we are here all afternoon! Thinking about doing some Christmas prezzie wrapping at some point!... and most likely going to go and have a sit on my bike later and have a little play with it, put some more silicon spray etc on it.
Ha! Yeah and if that doesn't work I'll have to resort to plan Z which is to work a lot harder! I'm only 29 I guess! Just a shame nothing like that will ever be made again...
Yes, but there will always be a collector somewhere who will offer up a brand new one for sale, just so long as you have pots of cash... So get working! That reminds me of that ad for TT2 Ducatis made by I can't remember who, which looked gorgeous (and expensive). The strap line was "Stop dreaming and start working!"
Went to the dealer to look at my HM1100s wishing i hadn't said after Christmas. Had a real good inspection and I'm happy. Sorted insurance over the blower so I'm ready to go. Took pictures of it into the bog so I could chuck one off. My day is complete. Now I'm sat thinking of all my mates that live dan saff, wondering why they all have cruisers now. ?
