You see all sorts of things wandering around these days. Looked at a machine job for extraction of Bamboo yesterday for a client, but i just don't know if the excavator will remove it from the soil bed as it's one continuos piece.
Bamboo can be an absolute bastard to completely remove... in addition to the roots becoming a rock hard clump you need to remove every single piece. Peacocks can be bastards too...
Had a letter from council planning saying that the Pikeys near me have put in an application for 4 more vans and a stable block (stables are already built!). Them cutting all my hedges and destroying a section a few weeks ago all makes sense now, they always get turned down on the main road having poor visibility and obviously think cutting other peoples hedges will change that. I’ve never objected to them before but I’m really going to enjoy writing my objections to the application.

Can you enroll the help of others in your area. Is there a civic society you could contact or try your local MP with concerns of road safety vandalism to private property noise issues Failing that buy a Great Crested Newt from the dark web and introduce it to the site!
Problem we have is they do own the land and have been on it for 30 years but it only meant for one family.
The local town council had a meeting about it last night but residents didn’t know until hours before. I’m told by someone at the meeting that they voted against it but it will now go to the big Malvern council for final vote. We are one of only 6 houses that got letters telling us of the application but the word is being put out for others to object.

totally* dismantled a Bafang E-bike motor trying to chase down an intermittent grating noise. *all bar the last bit, permanent magnets are so strong that I can't remove the "armature" by hand so treated myself to a set of bearing pullers.
