  1. Flat roof sprung a leak yesterday so I’ve stripped it back and re sealed it all, hopefully good for a few more years. Mowed all the lawns too.

  2. Rode back yesterday from Holyhead to Middlewich and stayed the night at my friends before heading home this morning at 6.30am.

Got home at 9.15am then started washing all my gear, cleaning my helmet, gloves, jacket, leather pants, over pants (as it pissed down in Wales and England), Kreiga bag etc……..then I cleaned the bike and put it away.

  4. Somebody (doesn’t take much working out who round our way ahem) robbed a jcb type thing off a local farm and ram raided our only cash point this morning at about 5am and the plod have been there all day and we’ve been cordoned off which I’m not going to lie has been joyous.

Apparently they struck an hour after they just filled it up too.
Took them 90 seconds (I’ve seen the cctv)
Wondering how much they normally hold in a cashy?

  5. Either very well planned or inside information. If the perpetrators are as inbred as the ones that did our local cash machine, definitely inside information :D Andy

  6. Constantly see our travelling brothers and sisters mooching about during the day round here looking for an “opportunity” and I’m wfh every day so fairly on the ball.
And let’s face it robbing a jcb off a local farm and ram raiding a village cash point has the hallmarks shalll we say.
Looking at the damage I’d be surprised if they don’t use it as an excuse to close the branch.

  9. A brace of italians...

Engine out of the 355, cam belts & tensioners replaced. Cam covers stripped & repainted in a nice crackle red finish. Start reassembly tomorrow adding a Capristo exhaust.

  10. Visited the audiologist for an ear MoT and a hearing test this morning. Not at all bad for my age although I have a slightly stiff ear drum and mild hearing loss in the 4kHz to 8kHz range which is consistent with work related noise exposure. No hearing aid required just yet which is great for my pension but not so good for my girlfriend who has been chivvying me to get a hearing test for months :D Less impressed that I still haven’t been sent a new driving licence and on checking with the Surgery, my GP hasn’t yet responded to the DVLA letter she got 7 weeks ago  Andy

  12. Rode the Devils staircase in Wales and then looped round to Devils bridge and along the Elan Valley. Glorious sunshine and bone dry roads shame about the 3 speed camera vans I saw all on the Rhayader Rd. Two of them were 2 miles apart, that must be a new tactic to catch people out.

  13. Been using the 2 speed trap for a number of years in Shropshire usually in consecutive villages.
It must work well for them

  14. It’s the first time I’ve seen it, it’s very sneaky .

  15. It is, but tbh the amount of cars I see blasting through a village with a 30 sign at possibly closer to 50-60 I’m guessing they responding to residents complaints.

  16. Chased after an amazon delivery van who smashed into the door mirror on my van. He never even slowed down after doing it. Luckily I was sitting in the van eating lunch. Caught him 2 streets away, and he claimed he was finding somewhere safe to stop. Sounded like a gunshot when he hit it.

  17. Few weeks ago Dpd driver off his tits wiped out our fence, gates etc. Claimed our fault cos lived in big house and he was white :astonished:My wife filmed it all on her phone and dpd paid up quickly

  18. Did some work last year on Amazon door to door fleet.

Possibly the most damaged fleet on the road by a large margin

Most other parcel companies try to keep their vans tidy not Amazon though.

  19. Pity they don’t respond to resident’s complaints about robberies/theft and anti-social behaviour generally. Suppose there’s no revenue in that.

  20. Not sure how much crime you describe occurs in rural Shropshire to be honest, if the residents are the ones complaining to the Police to respond to speeders maybe that is their chief concern.

Maybe if drivers weren’t speeding there wouldn’t be any revenue and they’d lose interest.
