  1. Well I'm off into the office in a bit. Wasn't meant to be going in at all till the 6th Jan but I have to work on a contract that a client wants tying up and signing by/on the 6th Jan - which will be nice.

Only downside is that I have developed man flu over the past couple of days and feel shit.

  2. Worse than that, we're off to my parents for the day!

  3. Keen ain't ya?

  4. I stripped out the old headstock bearing outer ball races and fitted a new offset triple clamp with new SKF taper roller headstock bearings and refitted the serviced forks. Progress, a bit small but still progress. Andy

  5. Just home from me mum's, tis nice to come home to a silent house. And I did rather well on the present front, too. Armani watch and a £50 Amazon voucher rather than the usual socks and smellies. Can't be bad:upyeah:

  6. Today I have mainly been watching tele and fiddling about on the laptop.Have managed to do 2 of my 3 psyio sessions I have to do each day even though my body threw a wobbly last night and left me more broken than usual today.Trying to be positive so have been looking at more bike porn and dreaming about what to have next.Something with outriggers might be suitable-don't think they are done for the Moto Guzzi Le Mans I was perving over earlier.:upyeah:

  7. Mervyn - I've seen a Guzzi with outriggers (with skis) in their museum at Mandello del Lario last year - you might be surprised!

Today was the traditional post-Christmas trip to the charity shop to dispose of unwanted presents.

The rest of the day was spent cooking - Karnataka style vegetable curry for lunch (out of an excellent curry recipe book which was a Christmas pressie from the mother in law - her Christmas presents to me are generally either spot-on brilliant, or dreadfully wrong and destined for the charity shop - the book was one of the former) followed by surprisingly successful experimental filo crust turkey and chestnut pie for dinner. Ok so the filo pastry was bought rather than home made, but I didn't fancy anything as rich as my home made shortcrust.

  10. I have laid in bed till midday then proceeded to go and see my son and his gfriend. Made my way back to my pad and drove like a nob cause I had the prodigy playing on the ICE. Now back and on my second bottle of red and talking to all you intellects

  11. Went to work, which seemed to involve cleaning up after my colleagues' Xmas Eve "apéritif".
I wasn't there (not my day, fortunately).
An ex-colleague from 30 years ago came into the shop to buy a Mac. We had a bit of a catch-up. We compared "ending up in Switzerland experiences" (he is American). I mentioned that after working with him I'd done an MBA. "What are you doing selling Macs?", he asked.

That, I thought, was a bloody good question.

  12. Regrettably it is dealing with Muslims, who have no concept of Christmas and therefore are still working as normal, that meant that things couldn't wait till the 6th Jan

  13. A question which I am sure 2014 will have the answer to my friend ;-)

  14. Is there a cunning plan in the offing , Baldrick?

  15. Got my entire house access to 25-30 mbs wifi broadband. Three weeks ago, my max down load speed was 1 mbs. hooray!

  16. Is it as cunning as a fox what used to be Professor of Cunning at Oxford University but has moved on and is now working for the UN at the High Commission of International Cunning Planning?

  17. "Debbie Does Dallas" downloaded in 10 mins, happy days :upyeah:
