This morning I have already mowed the lawn and strimmed the edges seeing as it’s gonna piss down later…….all while Doris is still fast asleep. Later I’ve got to take a pair of shorts that I bought yesterday for my holidays back, because although it says 32” waist on the label they’ve got to be 28” at the very most…………and though I’ve put on a bit of weight I’ve not put so much on that a pair of 32” waist shorts won’t fit……..as my others that are 32” still fit ok.
My faith in the seedier underbelly of the local petty criminals has been almost restored. They lifted the scrap metal I left outside my house but failed to nick the small box trailer that I needed dumping. Had to tell them to come back and take it Andy
that does sound promising, I had the inverse of this, 30 years ago: – I invited a scrap man that I had got to know, to come and take some items from my back garden while I was at work. He decided to also take a perfectly good aerial and mast that I hadn't even mentioned..
The local any old iron young lads knocked on my door recently to ask if it was ok to take the scrap that was left out by my boy
A similar story a while back with a friends 30 year Old Ford Capri. The scrap guys must have mistakenly thought it was theirs to take! A bit of quick thinking on our behalf and we retrieved it from the local scrap yard, just out the grips of the crusher True to form thieving bastards in this case.
So far I've dealt with about two dozen bots trying to join the forum and I've checked in online with Ryanair for our flights to Bologna for WDW. Now waiting on an engineer from my builder to rock up and inspect my drive after I first logged an issue with it over a year ago.
Yesterday was day 1 of the South Downs Way. Unfortunately my mate Chris was in charge of the planning...and he has set aside 5 days...20 miles each day. With a 13-14kg rucksack it is big ask Was in bed at 7:40 pm last night with what felt like a full blown fever due to how knackered I was. Still.. feel an awful lot better this morning.
