  1. The third cycle ride in a row now with no lycra shorts or plastic crash hats, had many a chat with folk on route with an 18 ( half Welsh & English ) year old that wants to move to Birmingham.

  5. I had a lovely "Rudyard Kipling" experience today. By some strange chance no-one could understand how something mechanical should be adjusted, 3 professionals had tried and all 3 had failed. ...then in someone's hazy distant past of a memory someone remembered that a mere mortal had achieved this unsurmountable task not once but twice (shere luck, i swear to you) so i was drafted in, with an audience all ready to disbelieve and maybe even ridicule, so much so that i doubted myself for a while. Anyway job done once i relaxed and got into it.

then..... soon after - normal service was resumed and everyone, quite rightly knew more than me again, thrice bless them all, i won't forget today:upyeah:

  13. Had fantastic service from Virgin with my broadband. :upyeah::upyeah:

  14. Well another great cycle ride over to West Wittering this morning, i could smell the money in Romans Landing as i floated through to the East head end. With two beautiful Spitfires flying overhead for me which made my day.
I returned back to basecamp through the wonderful traffic-free Medmerry cycle routes.
Looks like i like this cycling thing again after parking up my Pearson twenty odd years ago, but will need flat roads and plenty of sunshine for a regular thing.

  18. you done good, and you spared the Missus from added grief. :upyeah:i closed an account with the Halifux a few weeks ago after my folks went, it only took 14 years.. They refused to disclose Account Details and even what was in it for the previous 13, and then, as if by magic, they sent a letter with both in - made me wonder if some law had come into effect etc etc blah blah.

  20. When I get more garage space I fancy getting a scooter of some sort, with the Honda X-ADV being a favourite.

What with weather protection & storage I reckon they'd prove really useful as a daily all weather city hack.

Which, of course, is exactly what they are designed for.
