Yeah. I was on the Jota on the A3 down Nasher's way with the Mrs on the pillion. She got my attention at 120 because she was being blown off the back. Fun times!
I had my K5 Thou over 140 with The Dragon on the back, on my own private racetrack, of course Needless to say, I didn't get any jiggy jiggy that night
Started thinking about going travelling for a year or two again and that usually only ends one way. Sell up, buy a nutty camper van, lash the dogs in the back and go see some more of this beautiful planet before it’s too late.
I haven't worked out if this was just coincidence, but there I was this morning, doing what I was doing, when I smiled - and the sun's been shining all day!
Rode from North Cambridgeshire to mid Devon so I can get to Saturday’s memorial ride out. Tried to avoid Motorways as much as possible, as a consequence it took bloody hours. Add in a stops to see a friend, refuel, a can of Red bull, fight with the TombloodyTom, more like 9 hours in total. Should have bit the bullet and gone the Bristol motorway route but Friday, in the summer, there’s always going to be loads of traffic in this country. Sister in law produced a fabulous meal and I produced a bottle of wine (shaken not stirred) from the panniers. Mysteriously it evaporated in no time. Saturday all day, will be spent riding and donating for my mates chosen Charity. Talking motorbike’s, admiring other peoples motorbike’s and trying to figure out if there’s room for one more. What more could we want? Only motorcyclists will understand.
The Pete Mindham Memorial Ride out. If anyone wants to join in on what should be a lovely day/ride, they are more than welcome. Starts 10.30 https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=1OZm4iwKCkPwjFPgFgUsRzWLV03wTIq0&usp=sharing
It does actually start at 10.30 but I’m sure you can join in at any time you like…if…you’re in the area.
Doh! Expensive way to learn but you’ll know for next time. I hate the pick up and drop off fees, robbery but they’ve got you by the balls and your heart and mind will follow. It does not however ease the pain.
I have a stealth van not ever paid any fees for Dartford or any other place that use ANPR to collect tolls.
Taking my son and his mate to a concert in Leeds...just past the stroud junction...saw a z1000 shifting the other way....with an unmarked silver ford van chasing with lights going....careful out there...
Started some much overdue washing up and stopped very shortly after. Forgot there was a Damasked knife in the bowl and the water turned red, very quickly. Nothing major that a steri strip and Elastplast plaster couldn’t hold together but the washing up will have to wait for another day Andy
Next time you want to get out of doing the washing up, squeeze ketchup in the washing up bowl, for the same effect. This advice was free of charge.
