Went to visit my dad in hospital. He tripped up the kerb last night popping in to check on his neighbour. He fractured his hip and had a complete replacement fitted this morning. He's pleased it's his left leg so he can kick start a bike as soon as possible.
In my eyes he is. He's 77 and recently sold his 765R to slow down, and bought a 900 Bonneville, which soon went and got a 1200 as it was too slow . The pic is of him last year riding his hyperstrada on a month long roadtrip to Romania, Bosnia etc etc .
@Chris This man was stopped on the side of the road so i said hello, he put the wrong juice in it. apparently he like his Ferrari's as well with having owned an 330gt? with matching numberplate back in the day.
Not today but last week, went and did the NC500 and Skye on my own on the bike, last minute decision, loaded the camping gear and just set off. Never thought I’d go touring on my own but I absolutely loved it, wish I’d done it years ago.
Many years ago, I used to disappear into central Wales for long weekends on my own to recharge. Today, I’m not so confident solo travel is a risk I want to take but then I’m a lot older today Andy
