A very popular resting place for all and sundry, i'm not ULEZ complaint so a little shortcut through the back lanes. #Edd China was there, apparently in a previous life he was a lighthouse...........
Jeez - talk about memory lane! Merstham County Primary school and being dragged on numerous bus trips to Kingston to visit Bentalls department store with my mum...
Tried putting a crash helmet on, it bloody hurt so it came straight back off again. 10 stitches in my head on Tuesday and they don't come out until Friday so fingers crossed for half decent weather next weekend. I painted the downstairs loo instead, I'd forgotten how crap I am at painting and how much I dislike it. It turned out OK though . Invited dad down for a roast dinner with us and then to watch the Moto GP, first few laps were edge of the seat stuff.
Went to a Halloween party last night, got slightly drunk, came home at 1am. This afternoon I helped my next door neighbour who’d accidentally set her kitchen alight. I managed to quell the flames before the fire brigade arrived to make sure everything was put out. The fire was quite intense and her oven literally melted and exploded. Good job her little ones were at their dads for the weekend as they’d have been distraught
Rode 30 miles up n down steep mountain roads on my ebike, good exercise. Worked up an appetite, went for lunch at a really good Argentinian steak restaurant. Day done!
Went to bed at 3.30am on Sunday morning, as we went to a party. Spent most of the day feeling sorry for myself, but managed to wash the car and order a pizza. I don't feel too bad today!
Update; The ovens fucked. Her little ones just accepted that the oven “was broken” Her task today is tackling the insurance company.
Its a dull, cloudy day but the roads (and the large quantities of mud on them) are dry, so I have ridden my Aprilia to work to celebrate 4th Nov 39 years ago when I passed my Motorbike test. I rode from the test centre into Gainsborough Market Place, took the L-Plates off my CB100 and put them in the litter bin outside the Co-op. Never been without one (or more) bikes since that day (if you don't count days off the road due to broken down Ducatis).
Looks like someone try to use a tea towel to smother the flames. All homes should have a domestic fire blanket and powder fire extinguisher. Hope she gets everything gets sorted and well done you Andy
Gawd... can you believe it? In a similar vein, I write down and pin on the notice board a list of jobs for Mrs Bee to attend to - and it's just ignored
My Mrs kindly leaves me a never ending list, as soon as something gets crossed out something else is added.
How about adding to the list summat like "Tear up this fugging list in a fit a pique and throw the pieces in the air like confetti"
I told her to get those items today. I’ll check tomorrow to see that she has. But horses bolting and gates closing spring to mind
Moved boat onto winter mooring, not really used it this year for the first time in 20 odd years of boat ownership. Forced myself out on a bike for a few hours too.
