  4. It was pretty windy last night, so all the leaves came off his tree and most of them landed in my garden. Such luck! That's the entire autumn clean up on one fell swoop -or should I saw sweep? Got on a roll and cleaned out all the leaves from the gutters too!

A good few hours slog and all done, its a good feeling knowing that ball ache is over for another year!

    BTW.
What do you call a man with leaves on his head?
    Russell!

  5. I drank a bottle of wine with my dinner - that’s a lot for me. I then raided the freezer and ate about half a litre tub of ice cream and have followed that up with a large Bunnahabhain.
I’m not in a good place. Stress manifesting itself in a need for comfort.

  6. Hope you manage to get rid of whatever it is that is causing you the stress.

    Take care!

  8. Or maybe you can hit the local gym for an hour at a time -short and sweet- to blow off the energy?

For different reasons I have found myself there too. I use three machines on which I do moderate physical abuse for 15 mins each, followed by some lightweights and a cool down. Its a cardio program to improve wellness and tone.

I had never in my adult life been inside a gym until now. Zero appeal, no desire to grunt and sweat, nor to have bulging arms above my standard issue chicken legs!

But here I am. Almost 4 months, 4 - 6 times a week. Clear head, same weight -though some of it has changed place- and feeling good. Probably standing straighter? Maybe it will work for you.

    Goodluck.

  10. Dentist and hygienist first thing, then stressful filling out of forms when I got home (one from my pension company and the other from the hospital wanting to know the far end of a fart), then I made lunch, cleaned the house, then packed a bag and drove to Northumberland for the weekend.

I’ve spent the past 30 mins deleting about 100 Russian bots and now I’m fucked .

  11. Just bought a pop up Xmas tree with lights and decorations on it after being berated as being Scrooge by Doris last year………I’ve resisted until now but I saw the pop up ones in Tesco the other day so I thought I’d try it….I don’t want to piss fart around putting up a traditional tree. I’ve got better things to do with my time so this seems like a good solution. :)

  13. I am working in the Big Smoke today and tomorrow, unfortunately it’s the Lord Mayors show tomorrow so the roads around the City are closed from 7am until 5pm, that’s me getting home really late tomorrow then:mad:

  14. Put a freeze on all my debit card facilities, got a notification yesterday from my banking app, for a payment approval request for a holiday website that I have never used, got another notification today for another approval request for a payment to British Gas, not been with them for years

After a lengthy conversation with my bank fraud department, they have cancelled my card, all they could tell me was, both attempts were made from different iPhone's in the same location, they not allowed to tell me the location

Definitely not me, or any of my family, we all use Samsung Android phones

Now got to wait for a new card to arrive

  15. Just had my insurance renewal through yesterday, that's two in a space of two weeks.
Watched the Irelend / ABS rugby match last night but switched over with ten to go.!

  16. I know I rail at the level of technology in today’s world but thankfully it would appear your bank has used it to prevent you losing your hard earned to fraud. That’s great news. Andy

  19. If I make a purchase online, and enter my bank card details in the vendors payment page, it checks the details, if all OK, it then pops a box up, asking me to confirm the payment in my banking app

I received notifications from my banking app to check my online purchases, there were 2 in 2 days that had an approval request notification, but no actual request in the relevant page, as I had not confirmed the requests in the specified time, they were cancelled, no money was taken from my bank, thankfully
