  2. Me too and I’ve always lived in Staffordshire geezer.:)

  3. So far I’ve had to deal with approximately 40 Russian bots. They don’t even hide where they’re from anymore……they even state they’re from Russia ffs

  4. Getting bolder by the minute those commies

  5. @Android853sp and @GrumpyGolfer if you happen to be anywhere near the Abba stand (no pun intended :)), I'd be interested to know what sort of discounts they're offering, if any, on the Skylift. Should be an indicator of what they'll be offering next week for Black Friday.

  9. Ooo.. you bugger. I've given up for around 5 years now and on an ex work colleagues do the conversation got round to smoking. I was saying how much I enjoyed not necessarily the substance per se but rather the whole ritual around smoking. The rolling of the ciggie, moving the hand to the lips, the drawing in of the smoke. The thrill of being part of a rebel gang of like minded souls outside a pub also had a strange attraction.

Anyway move forward a couple of hours and I'm suitably 'tired & emotional' and whilst wandering back through town to me digs I had the flash of inspiration, why not beg someone for a ciggie? Well, could I find anyone who was smoking? Looking back it probably was a blessing in disguise because apart from spinning out after the first couple of drags I suspect it'd got me back onto the slippery slope...

  10. yup i gave up about 10 years back. but for some reason i smoke when i go on overseas bike trips. no one else is smoking and i go from zero to about 20 a day for the 4 or 5 days we go for. suppose if i can do that few times a year not too bad..........albeit weird and a habit in its own right

  12. Big delivery from builders merchants, here in Brittany. Timber, concrete blocks, sand, concrete, cement.
Just wheelbarrowed around 500kg of cement, mortar etc. up the garden to the garage (cannot get wagons in at other side of house..).
Just the 60 concrete blocks and a large stack of timber to go. Garden is 123 metres long

  14. Just cancelled the gym, true. Was a member of the l,orange bleue, they have gyms all over France. Nearest one to here is a bit crap though. Just rows of old folks on cycling machines. Why? Just get a pushbike
Honestly, at 58, the new building/renovation project is enough for me!

edit: did I mention I was supposed to be retired ?
    The list is
Build workshop, aka, motorcycle storage. Started.
    Install bathroom. Started.
    Kitchen…started.
Knock down and rebuild outhouse. Thought about…
    Create a fabulous walled garden..hmm..

I have spotted the problem. Lots started. Nothing finished

  16. Went to the butchers to get some goodies for the weekend, then was taken to the salt chamber, so was talked into ordering some beef for Xmas. I didn’t take much convincing, to be fair.
