  2. Years ago at Horticultural College we did quite an extensive module on pruning.I couldn't wait to be let loose and always enjoyed pruning, especially the large restoration jobs where gardens had been left to run riot for years.

  12. Still nibbling away at the stuff in the shed. What to keep and what to give away/dump.An accumulation of stuff collected over the last thirty years.

  13. 'Fraid I'm in the ' take it to the ground' school of pruning. Usually after I've let it run riot for a few years. Probably why my garden is nothing special.

  14. Attended a speed awareness course.

    "More Paint More Danger"

    I did not know that...

Certainly is the way me and my Doris have been rowing about magnolia, misty buff and azure f'ing dawn!

  15. The two hour pruning lesson was interesting, though sitting on your bum for a couple of hours in say 10° max makes you cold to the core. It's taken hours for me to warm up again.

It's a bit too early to prune roses here, apparently. A pity, as they got a severe pruning a couple of weeks ago. Oh well. I doubt they'll die.

I now have to heat up all the marmalade I made again. It didn't set (annoying, it looked as if it would). So I have to empty and wash the 12 pots and do it all over again. Grrr. It's not even for me. It's a friend's request.

    Bummer - hope your ok

  20. It was him, I signalled and thought he was behind us as we got to the A33/34 split so cracked on. Could have sworn I saw a Diavel coming down the outside lane!

When we stopped end 272 turn left to Stockbridge relaised it wasnt.

Nice coffee and chat to start at MR, Wilf was on good form, Ali, Char, me plus three other mates. Nice size group tbh and one of the guys in particular is quite quick on the road so we had a little play with his R6 ;-)

Had a good early spring blast, at a decent pace, down to Blandford for coffee and food (for some) in a great little cafe opp the church. Then headed north to Warminster, across to Andove via Luggershall then back to Stockbridge and usual route home. A good 230 miles...and still only used touring mode ;-)

mind you the a350 blandford to warminster was a bit, er, interesting with gravel, mud, copiuos water. Great obbs skills training to keep a decent pace still. Loved it :upyeah:
