  1. happy days.

  2. Out on the Diavel for the first time this year. 50 miles, kept to main roads.

It was bloody cold, but it felt sooooo good to be back on two wheels again.

  3. Had a good run out but very cold, roads were a bit slippy in places over the moors. Hot pork and stuffing cob at CMC made me feel a bit warmer though.

  4. Sod you all with your sunny ride outs, been stuck at work all day and it's forecast rain tomorrow

  5. image.jpg Been out on my bike alone, yawn, via Snells then Goodwood where met a fella with an S, John.

Started pressing on a bit coming home, really quick steering getting back in the habit. Two things; rear squats quote a lot understeering input and winding throttle on and it smacking the centre stand in the middle of the bends by the golf club outside Midhurst means the bike lifts and wont hold a line...oops!

  6. If it's any consolation, Carlos, it's damp and cold here and the bike is staying precisely where it is : in the garage.

  7. Today I dead lifted 235lb. I know it isn't a huge amount, especially as the bigger guys are lifting 300 - 400lb, but I have always had a weak lower back and had to start from 45lb 6 months ago. Lots of core work, steady, gentle increases in weight leads to injury free progress :)

  8. Squeezed into the leathers, mapping done. Big improvement. Apparently it was on the original factory mapping. Mpg has gone up a bit as well....all good.

  9. dead lift?

  10. Biannual clothes shopping trip to Gunwharf Quay

  11. Down to OYB n back with a mate to pick his new Diavel up then spent 2hrs cleaning the crud off the bike then fitted a tail tidy n integrated rear light unit n now having a glass of Pinot or 6

  14. Lovely game of golf this aft, no wind , sunshine and views to; white horse at Westbury, Glasto tor, Hinckley point, north Devon Coast , dundry beacon./bristol airport, black mountains.....

not saying I visited all those as with my wayward tee shots, but views across 7 counties on a clear day.

lost one ball, found two-brucie bonus ( can I say that? He's not on trial for owt is he?)

  15. Packing for Cuba! Bike is still in the shed and will be there till 1st of April. No point in taxing it till then as not back till 21st of March. Did see a chap who had just picked up his brand new CB500. Seemed quite happy with his purchase and reckoned he'd keep it for a couple of years before getting a "blade". He was only young so he will grow up and get a proper bike one day!

  16. Wow would love to visit Cuba - sounds like your having a proper holiday - enjoy !

  17. This will be our third trip! For such a poor country, the people are wonderful. They don't seem at all envious of the trappings of the west, always have a smile, don't pester you when walking about, and very grateful when you leave them something. We always take spare t shirts to donate and this year we are taking some bandages and dressings to leave with the hotel medics after they looked after Nicky so well the last time we were there, despite having sod all bandages to treat her with!
