  1. Bought 2 weekend tickets for the Silverstone MotoGP and a hotel room in Milton Keynes for Friday and Saturday. Will be just the missus and I, no kids, a few bikes and hopefully lots and lots of wine. Seating in Woodcote A, Block 2.

  2. Run over to Dorchester, chips at Swanage then home...tank of fuel and arm killing me now but worth it :)

  3. Theres a bunch of us going with OMCC with weekend passes, not sure what we are doing for accommodation yet

  4. The cheapest place I could find was Milton Keynes Travel Lodge central. £110 for 2 nights in a double room. Most other places were around £300 all in. I'll be going up in the land rover rather than on the bike, so if you have any kit you want to take but can't fit on your bike, let me know nearer the time.

  5. Two trips to the dump, a pint of Hogsback Tea and a bacon, brie and cranberry ciabatta for lunch and then the news that the engine management light is a gearbox error and they need to drop the sump. Two chances. loads of swarf or a sensor, £2500 or £25 - great. Picked the powder coating up so cheered up a bit and I am looking forward to a Thai banquet later. Andy

  6. Wandered round Glastonbury town with SWMBO. Spotted Mutley and Monster along with a group of others. That was more interesting than the town. Religion and spirituality in one hit. But she likes it. All these crystal healing shite and lay lines does not interest me at all. Ruins were interesting I guess. Henry VIII's greatest service to humanity. The severance of dotage to papacy.

But could I get her to wander round the science museum. Could I f...

  7. You're a long way from home, glasto is one strange 'high' street.....

    Did you climb the Tor?

  8. Yep, up the Tor. Yawn. Its a hill.

Back home tomorrow. Yay. Back to my comfy chair and my stuff.

  9. And a trip to Wells?

  10. Introduced two guys from work to advanced riding concepts.

  11. Yep, even managed to fit in an old lady falling in a tower and being airlifted out. Wells is nice. Didn't feel it for Glasto tho. Too cheesy hippy for me. You know the cheesy stuff. Tie die and sandalwood.

  12. Aye, that'll dominate the local, newspapers for weeks.

Some nice food places in Wells.

Must say, Glasto is a place I find easy to go round on the bypass.......

Bit of light shopping in Street?

  13. still at work but taking the next three days off. took a long weekend a fortnight ago and guess what? the sky didn't fall in. so i might even take a week off this year. feck it the Maserati can wait.

  14. Trepidation...

It's MOT time, and this time I'm feeling the stress...

It passed, but only by the skin of it's teeth. The one British part I bought, from a 'British' company (the headlamp), had a foreign beam pattern:mad: - Fail.

But as usual the staff at Careys of West Byfleet bent over backwards to help, and some 5 minutes later she passed. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

All I need to do now is stop the engine smoking, put the gear lever somewhere near my left foot, stop the bar end mirrors swivelling round the bars, make a comfy seat........
