Spent most of the day returning the Panigale back to road trim from all out track bike!!! Geez.......................that`s taking some time and i`ve only got until Tuesday night before we`re off to Germany!!!!!!
Sorry about that. Result of accident, then? I've got some sort of arthritis in my knee and my squash-playing and running days are over. It's a pisser, but you just find other things to do. Knee doesn't like me skiing much either, which is even more of a pisser.
Yesterday I was mostly getting a large screw in my rear tyre. Today I received my Abba center stand and socket for my rear wheel. Tomorrow I will be mostly removing said rear wheel and spending money on a new tyre
Thanks yes, it's a result of the accident, it's amazing what can show up a little later along the road.
Another long day, soon to make some dinner then another couple of hours on tenders. Need to be paid by the hour...
Cleaned my 2 piece, the white is now back to white, rather than an odd creamy colour Bike is back at the dealers so s'pose I should take the opportunity to do these things ready for when it comes back....
I've been to Glasgow and Edinburgh today. It's been a long day. Tomorrow I'm in Lytham St Annes. I'm hoping to get home early so I can get out on the bike
You have my sympathy after all that you have gone through Phil. I am scheduled to have my right hip replaced at the beginning of Oct.Just found out that the meds I have been on for the last couple of years have probably accelerated the osteoarthritis I have.Mind you I am an old git so I shouldn't complain too much.
Just ridden 280 miles today, E London to Yeovil and back to visit the old relic. I must have ridden the A30 Stockbridge - Salisbury - Shaftesbury - Sherborne - Yeovil a hundred times and I still love it.
Thanks Mervyn, I'm working from the angle that I've had it since the accident, all that's changed is that I know about it now. I guess it could be worse, had things turned out differently I may not have had the chance to become an old hit at all. Hope the hip replacement goes well, I've heard it has amazing results.
My next door neighbour who's an ex professional footballer, had his hip replaced a few years ago. He was about 52 then. Took him about 6 weeks to recover and he's fine now. He still a Cnut though
Spent six months scraping together 400 quid. Today as always when I seem to reach 400 quid something came along in Truman show fashion that demanded a 400 quid outlay. Why does god not like me hanging on to 400 quid?!
Now what do I do? I've committed to start subcontracting for a firm next week; they reckon they'll keep me going for years and the rates are decent. But a firm I used to work for rang me last night offering me a static contract (staying on one site looking after 14 buildings) for potentially more money and an easier life. And without either offer I've still got shitloads of work anyway. My head is spinning. And I think I've sold the Shitebird, but if I take the static contract I'll probably need a bike to commute on:Banghead:
Go for the one that ties you down the least and gives you more options to do other stuff or (stay in bed) without concern
