We have just ridden back to Freiburg from Neushwanstein castle in Bavaria. Impressive castle, no piccie because I took photo's on camera not phone and don't have the leads with me. It was cold, raining with heavy cloud in Bavaria, Freiburg is wArm and sunny. I'm just waiting to eat now, am fairly hungry.
I'll be pleased to get back to work, keep doing a bit on the bike then going for a walk, then the human magnet gets switched on every time I walk past the pub. Steve

Just bought a Fournales air shock for my project (the one with no spring) not sure if it will do, but was a good price so taken the risk :Nailbiting:
I just drove to Plymouth to pick up a new project bike to spanner now that my main bike has nothing to fix all the time. I bought an NC30 that I'm going to turn in to something fun. I like the trick V4 and SSSA and I'm going to try and get a complete modern front end on there and some other shiny things. Time to start making a plan
Yesterday I had to deal with some space cadets (nothing new there), a tree surgeon who was lopping and shaping a conifer for me, a stroppy estate agent who is/was selling my parents bungalow and has been shit at it (other bungalows in the area have sold in 3-4 weeks), and a wife who was exceedingly grumpy when she got in from work at 9pm after having been in the office since 7am (a project she is managing is going tits up due to politics). Apart from that it was a breeze.
Today I have set Mrs Mervyn up on some decorating jobsShe is very happy with that.I might get a ride out later on the MH-this will be my last ride on it before it goes into storage.
Today we planned to ride around the hairpins and twisties of the Black Forest. Some rain predicted first thing which was already falling. Decided to go into Freiburg old town for a couple of hours, wait for it to stop then head for the hills. It is still persisting down, Hmmm thank goodness for my Jack reacher book!
I had Fournales air shocks on my Pantah. They were excellent. They were meant to supply shocks for aeroplanes, so they should know what they are doing.
Needed a new rear silencer for my jalopy, Kwikfit wanted £200, so I consulted ebay. Found a bloke selling back box, mid pipe and front box, no bids, so I offered a tenner and won it. Virtually brand new, too. So I go to pick it up today, find the young lad and his mate are breaking cars to supplement their wages, and he was keen for me to buy more stuff, only he forgot to put his business head on...I came away with the exhaust parts, two brand new brake discs and a pair of calipers with new pads, throttle body assembly, alternator and starter motor, all for the princely sum of £20 Not that I need them, but I'm sure someone on ebay will...
Unlikely, he put up a picture of said car showing the reg plate on ebay. Of course that could have been any old car, but why should I care..?
Can of worms... Anyway, I've finally collected my bike after at least 10 weeks bing sorted. Cant wait to use it. Shame I will have to!
