Yesterday as didnt get time last night to post, I went to JHP and spent the morning with John going over my engine which was in bits on his bench, and what we are going to do with the bike. Absolutely buzzing and had great time. Real nice guy and I can't wait to see the finished result.
KFC has a particular taste, in the same way that a Burger King Whopper has a particular taste. I assume that in KFC's case it is produced by a proprietary combination of herbs, spices and possibly chemicals. Their chicken will of course be miserable industrial stuff produced in sad batteries, but there is no getting away from the fact that the taste of KFC is particularly yummy. I don't really have a problem with fast food as such. The real problem with it is simply that people eat too much of it and far too frequently. It's the same with Kit Kats, Mars bars and Coke. Bought once in a while, it's hardly likely to kill you or make you fat. The issue is that people don't buy this stuff once in a while; they tend to consume crap on a daily basis. So yes, once in a blue moon I quite like eating crap. TBH, though, there is a KFC in Lausanne, so I suppose that if I was that desperate for one, I could easily satisfy my craving.
Went out got pissed with my lad, first time we've really done that. His mum said he was ill last night, I never heard a thing
Nice blast down to Lulworth , 9 bikes - 4 of which were Ducati's Lovely day and most of the grockles have headed home , near miss with a pikey caravan detaching itself from the flatbed transit pulling it - close shave for two but all safe
Left the Black Forest this morning, lovely ride up through the Vosges. Now holed up in a Logis in Guines for the night. Early start tomorrow, tunnel then home. We have done the trip home in one day but it isn't any fun and technically we are still on holiday, and it gets quite chilly once the sun goes down.
I've been out all day with @bettes in Yorkshire and Derbyshire. Met with @scratch pervert, @Andy V Twin, @d8mok and his gf in Matlock. It's been a good days riding
blast out to matlock with ET. met up with @Andy V Twin @scratch pervert @d8mok great ride out! out for 7 or 8 hours. but got back in time to clean the bike and inflate the tyres. front was down to 25 psi and was handling like it! also found a bit of time to fit the swing arm cover from steve @ conquest. well happy with it and covers the swing arm scratches perfectly!
My son visited today and installed an App on my mobile phone, which allows me to contact my bank and get a balance on my account. It worked great, although I didn't think that the "Lol" at the end was entirely necessary
First blast on the fighter after it's service by me. I think the service went well. I need a new rear tyre. 250 Brecon miles. Woohoo Who has trouble sleeping after biking?
i'll sleep like a baby tonight. haven't rode for that long in ages. will probably wake up feeling 20 years older tomorrow morning! :Blackeye:
This bike has got so much bling and carbon fibre added to it that it's now twice the weight of a standard bike
this is one of the things i most look forward to when my 3 grow up! i know, i'll have to get some BST wheels to off set all that extra weight.
Got home from my run down to Spain. A little excitement when the police in Paris thought I was a drug dealer - I was ushered into a service area by an unmarked police car with three cops in it, they then proceeded to empty out my car, including boot carpet, weather strips and took the interior panels out, as well as looking inside the doors. They were actually very nice, and commented that I had absolutely everything needed for driving on in continental Europe (reckon I dodged an on the spot fine there!) That took about an hour, and as a result I made my ferry by seconds! - never even had to stop in the boarding lines! Total trip was 3315 miles with no problems at all. Averaged 37mpg as well, a new best
