Took the day off and went to Peterborough antiques fair with the good lady, lovely time had by all. The wallet is lighter though !
Sold my DJ equipment today. - lost my confidence after doing a gig for the Dyslexic Association. I should have known better than play YMCA - it was absolute mayhem
Bought some climbing plants for the new fence we put up to hide the new trailer, walked the dog several miles, gym now typing this before a shower. Mel has succumbed to lighting the fire! No heating on yet though.
had my ecu reflashed by @chrisw and will be removing the exhaust valve & gubbings tomorrow if work permits... also got the black & red progrips and the ti exhaust heat shield bolts from the states.
Ride to the wall....more like swim to the wall. Started at 7am...back at 5pm...285 miles of wet, miserable and very cold riding. All for a very good cause. Sad to see so few Ducatis present.
Was that the mob going south from cherwell servcies about 0900? Blocked the road for all the bikes...why do we think as bikers we have the right to hold everyone up so we can stay together?!
The same way Audi/BMW and Merc drivers believe that only they have the right to the fast lane and will not get of the way for a motorcycle that wants to make progress (even if the other three/four lanes are clear)!
Silverstone. Met some forum members and not met before and some I had Had to leave early to get home for a kids party. Now home and chilling
Except they don't block the road dor every other riad user to let the hi viz knobs on their choppers come thru with their flags hanging off the back, stopping other road users from continuing their journey...
Err...my point is they do...albeit not at a stand still. I suppose the knobs with the Hi-Viz would hold the view that they are making it safer (especially for the bikers), by not letting the other traffic mix up with the convoy. After today's experience I won't be doing it again. I just find doing 38-63 MPH for 70 miles just way too boring / stressful. And I was only 7 bikes from the front. I'll visit the site and continue my support, but on other days.
