  6. I'd like to spend about 10 but think 15 needed to get low mileage 1/2 decent , be doing 20k year mostly motorway

Or I could do less commuting - work wouldn't mind but then I wouldn't get mileage

Maybe just run the 5 series into the ground but don't fancy breaking down in the winter on the M3

  7. Looked at those when bought BM - rear boot height a bit high to load the waitrose shopping in

  8. [IMG] 10k possibly the best diesel out there. and they look v.cool.

  9. How many miles are on the 5 series? Surely they'll go on forever?
Even my 156 SW has a bit over 125k miles on it now, so can't imagine that that sort of mileage frightens a BMW.

  10. Get thee to a gym for some arm-muscling!

  11. in my experience they suck. most German cars a thriving on a reputation they had 30 years ago. where as the Italians are suffering from there reputation up untill 15 years ago. hence the great prices you can pick them up for.

  12. 120k on bmw 2008.

  13. Save a pile of cash and run it for another 100k or so.
Think of the holidays you could have with the change! Think of the bikes you could buy...
It's not going to depreciate massively now, is it? That's more money you're saving.

Thing is, most people change cars because they want to, because it's fun, a new car.
Only problem is, it's quite expensive fun, and the new car will not be new for long. Then it will just be "the car" and you're back to square one. Whereas, if you keep it long enough, you get attached to it, thus still having enjoyment and saving loads of sponds. Way to go, I reckon.

  14. theirs always a right time to sell. the millage dont scare me, it;s always the other annoying faults you get with them but to be fair it's more the v.w.group cars that let them self down.

  15. Went to a Majorcan market today - unbelievable value - ten Rolexes for 50 euro

  16. I do like the " bread van " especially the 135m,, 300 hp , rwd,, a real drivers car,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I believe the alphas are all fwd :( ...
I was considering one myself but came to the conclusion that I could not afford the M and the other ones were under powered.

  17. Worried the BM is going to start costing money - clutch cam chain etc - I dunno

  18. hello car good bye money.

  19. been out with wife on pillion and mind made up, bike has to go :(

I love it but the stress every time she gets on and off, and always on the edge of disaster, gives me physically a headache!

    K1300, ZZR 1400, ZX10...next?!
