  1. Siting here wondering how insane I must be to be going for a run at 6:15am tomorrow morning, then hitting the pool at 7.............

  2. You must have bloody sore knees then

    I'll get my coat!!!

  3. What i`m going to do today.........

Got Lola booked in for obedience lessons at 11. She pulls on the lead and has a strong chase instinct for anything furry or feathery, this will be fun.

This afternoon, if my daughter is up after partying last night, I`ve got to take a load of stuff she forgot yesterday .
Luckily, it should all fit in my panniers so a cheeky ride could be on the cards.

Oh yes, I text her last night, asked how she was, said the drinking games had already started. I said if your gonna play, then play to win. Her reply????
Don`t worry Dad, I`ll av em!
    Thats my Girlie :upyeah:

  4. Met Matt46 at 9.30am and rode to Squires. Met Nick the Greek and Srad34 there for coffees. Rode home.

Now trying to get warm again whilst watching the Liverpool vs Man Utd match

  5. Chucking it down in Surrey:frown:

So I went to the pub:upyeah:

  6. It's pouring here too
BSB and roast dinner yum yum.

Woke up this morning to find neighbours car missing
Looks like they pushed it down the road and then tried to hotwire it :-/
Poor old boy made him a coffee it's gone off to be repaired now

  7. @470four, I enjoy reading your posts, but am completely mystified as to your continual use of ? In bizarre places.

    Is there a quizics anonymous?

  8. Where did that? come from...

  9. @Figaro, pretty much every ?? in this...

I turned up in good time, parked up - and walked over to sign in and on for the demo rides? Last time I was a Panigale's Bitch - hooting and giggling in an adrenaline-fused hypermist as the front wheel pitterpattered its way SURGING ever onwards!

This time I wanted the Scarlet Mistress with the long legs, Ms.Multistrada... I had eyed her before, walked round, squeezed and twisted, got on top and dry-humped, getting a feel for what could only be a very perfect roadbike? Upright riding position, wide bars, tall screen, even a good pillion seat?? I showed both paper & card licences & a credit card and awaited lift-off...

Bizarre keyless system? Key stays in your pocket? Saves you leaving it in the bike I suppose... I slung a leg over - a complicated knee injury meant a semi-awkward mount? The seat-height is good for me (can't touch the floor on the Hyper, am 5'10"??) but you have to conquer a high pillion seat to drop down into the "U" that is the riders seat? Hold the killswitch toggle cover down, the bike boots up. Wait for it to finish jibbling, then flip it back up and press the start button underneath...

Burbled into life... the two exhausts are in the throttle side, behind your foot, sometimes the exhaust sounded distant, almost as if it was in another room??

The clutch is weird. Am used to a dry clutch - the Multi has what I can only describe as a motocross-bike clutch? VERY light, very short travel, very little feel? Got used to it in the end, but at the start I was "feeling" the clutch bite by feeling the bike move forward, not by any feedback through the lever?

Footrests are short & rounded - admittedly had little rubber daps in the middle but could have done with feeling a little more planted footwise?

  11. It was freezing I have only just got warm bbbbbbrrrrrrr. Good to meet fellow forum guys and ride again with EL T :upyeah:

  12. I see that... Not going to apologize either! I have in medical terms an "overactive mind" - will relentlessly quiz & question EVERYTHING, and look for a better way of doing it, another solution? Also means very little sleep... :frown:

Just me - and my way of communicating... Harmless!

Having a crap day emptying all the boxes of shite from the spare room into the now vacant spare room, then building up racking to get it all tidied up off the floor... ran out of milk so had a sanity-check drive to the other Asda 7 miles away to get shopping, now having an online catchup before housework once again...

  13. I know things can and will change but, according to Metcheck right now, next Saturday and Sunday are looking as though it could be quite sunny and half decent temps wise. I'm free Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday

  14. Hey, 470, don't get me wrong, it's a really small thing that would take a very good post to excellent. Just detracts from the readability imho. No offence was meant

  15. No offence taken?

Have more pressing matters to worry about at the mo!

Thanks for the feedback anyhow :upyeah:

  17. Sweet f of a all day, other than watch all th racing. Gearing up for a 5am start tomorrow

  18. I though he was typing as Australians talk, with a rising inflection.

  19. Got up very late.
Was watching the F1 and realizing that the day was ebbing away in couch vegetation. Hamilton was already out, the safety car came on again. So I turned off the TV and zipped myself up in the superhero outfit and went out to frighten other road users on the 999.

What a wise plan. It was a truly stonking ride. Whether was perfect - hazy sun and between 19 and 24 degrees so I was neither hot nor cold. I only did about 110 miles but I just stopped for petrol and to clean the visor. Rode through the Jura on constant sververy, admiring the limestone gorges and fir forests. Progress was swift, my lines were cool, even got my knee down once - a rare occurrence for me on the road. The 999 was storming - I wouldn't have wanted to be on any other bike. I don't know what's been going on around here, but they have resurfaced many roads to billiard table smoothness so that the whole area feels like one giant racetrack.

If anyone's coming to Switzerland ( and a wee bit of France) don't miss out on these roads. I'll give you the gen if you ask.

    Absolutely top afternoon.
Glad to see Citeh and the Gunners drew so Baggies still 4th! (It can't last).

  20. Sounds like you had a brill day Glid, I am officially jealous .

Our furry maniac pulled, chased and barked at everything, you could feel the hatred from the other dog owners. The trainer described her as "easily distracted." She did do sit, lay and give paw so not a complete bust :upyeah:.

My daughter went into uni with her new mates to blag a load of freebies so my courier service was cancelled.
