Been sunny all morning but roads only drying out now - never let a little bit of salty wet road stop you ! Bikes are all ACF50'd up so hopefully won't be a pile of rust come spring
I have put the front wheel back into the ugly old Trumpet, and now await the arrival of some decent brake pads...the pads in the bike when I bought it "froze" ,(rusted?)onto the disc within hours of being out in the rain:I suspect that they were cheap Far Eastern rubbish with a high iron content.Braked ok,but I've binned them and had the discs cleaned up,putting some Ferodo organic pads into it when they get here
Taken the little mini for a run as it's been -3 over night and I didn't use her yesterday Salt everywhere will need to clean her in the week hopefully Tucked up warm on sofa with a coffee candles lit and a bit of tv
Made some more caramalised onion relish as stocks were running low - looks quite different to the first batch but stupidly I'd not made a note of the recipe
Reading reports, new one here on the MV..... Two Way Street: MV Brutale 800 RR vs Ducati Monster 1200S | MCN Moved the bikes out of the garage then back in again, different way round though, ooooooohh the excitement. Just started to snow here.
thankyou. yes a better night. her back legs aren't quite right. But a good long walk today seems to have strengthened her back end. lets hope it doesn't happen again or get worse...love that little pooch, she's one of the family.
Today we've been out and walked in the snow for a couple of hours. Then we went into Holmfirth and had a hot chocolate and panini before going to the Holmfirth Picturedrome to watch the film "Pride" which starred Bill Nighy, Imelda Staunton and Holmfirth's own Jessica Gunning. If you've not seen it, go and watch it. It's good.
Quiet day, cracked the ironing this morning, we walked to the pub in the next village to watch Bath play and beat Toulouse. Just eaten a delicious chicken stew with chilli's and ginger, Mmm Mmm
Saw my mate Billy this morning, he's only got one arm. "Where you off then, Billy ?" I shouted across the road. "I'm going to change a light bulb," he said. "That's going to be awkward, isn't it?" I asked. "No.....I've still got the receipt."
Lanes not salted but icy, not sure I would have stayed up right for any distance. Did you have a good breakfast at the cafe?
Not as good as used to be and colder inside than out - think going to Amesbury Friar Tuck next time !
