So what have you done today..?

  1. Paid HMRC a shit load of money, was thinking of changing the car!

  2. Dragged myself to the pool.
If I was fitter, I'd be better at this swimming thing, but then the swimming is supposed to make me fitter, so fair enough.
When I got out, I counted the amount of crawl strokes that people were doing to swim a length. Then I got back in and counted my own. Not as good as the real swimmers, but better than many. I found that heartening, as the fewer the strokes, the better your technique. Mine might be not quite as rubbish as I thought. So I'm just unfit, then. Quelle surprise.

  3. I renewed my car insurance today using comparethemarket.com.

As I was about to log off, a banner came up saying, "Would you also like a quote to insure your pet?"

I thought to myself, why would I do that when our dog can't drive?

    Morons.

  4. Put some new mirrors on the bike. Fired it up, blipped the throttle and blew the paint off the garage door.

  5. I was trying to chat up a woman in a noisy singles club last night and I shouted to her:

"So, what films do you like?"

    "Porn films." she replied.

"Really? That's unusual for a woman. I'll tell you something, I'm obsessed with them - I must have seen thousands. I can sit and watch them all day long"

She said "I think you'll find they only made three, but I love Matt Damon"
