So what have you done today..?

  1. My wife has a real competitive streak so I bet her a hundred quid today that she couldn't go for a month without having sex.

I knew that she'd be up for the challenge.

I just hope it buys me enough time for my herpes to clear up.

  4. It was dry and sunny so finished work at 12 and took the bike out and put another 100 miles on the clock, thats 500 so far only another 100 to go till 1st service :)

  5. Well it's back to the drawing board...I found a couple of imperfections on the forks so I decided to take them completely apart & get the bottoms anodized instead, I know I just wasted $50.00 but I wasn't completely happy...mind you they look great from 10 feet but once you get closer it reveals the flaws!

    In place of this

Can you see how the original is installed incorrectly? The arrow shape does not match up with the notched pillar.
So I installed the new one correctly, and it didn't work, could not engage, just slipped.
So I took it all apart again, and reinstalled it the same wrongness as before, works perfectly! Yeah!

With a decent socket set with good Allen key bits, it's actually pretty easy.
Had to drift the control rod out of the old bearings, and just slide it in the new pressure plate.
The second time I did it was just 15 minutes.

  10. You were up early!

  11. We've tried to keep our 2yo granddaughter amused and also to get her to eat her breakfast.

We've succeeded on the first and failed on the second.

We're now getting ready to go out to Ducati Manchester so I can look at Scramblers then we are off for some lunch at a nice restaurant somewhere near Brighouse :)

  16. I've just seen a bullfinch in our garden.
This was a pretty common bird in our garden in south Oxfordshire when I was growing up, but I almost never see them in my garden in Switzerland. A fine-looking bird.
My English bird-watching friends are also jealous of the hawfinch that I have seen recently - tricky to see in the UK, apparently.

  18. Morning glidd. We had a bullfinch in the garden yesterday. Was not around long enough for me to get the binsout.Lovely looking bird.
The most memorable bird we had was a sparrowhawk which chased a pidgeon into our bedroom window. The dead pidgeon fell on to the terrace and the hawk then proceeded to 'mantle' it and tear it apart and eat bits. After about 20mins of feeding it flew off.It returned twice again that day for feeding and eat most of it.Lovely looking bird.I remember years ago flying a hawk off my arm and feeding it dead mice.:upyeah:
