So what have you done today..?

  1. Today I will mostly be heading off to BSB Snetterton, and out tonight seeing a band in a local pub with a few of the team.......

  2. Woke up to find that we've run out of heating oil.......

    Cold showers are not fun.

  3. yesterday, got a spare 749R frame back from the painters, a 999S motor was delivered and finally found the eccentric that I'd taken out of the frame when it was sent to be painted. Ohlins steering damper has been serviced and 'upgraded to race spec'. Cranked mounting has been replaced for a straight one, which requires a specific adapter, which I don't have yet.

Then found that the lower yokes were 999, not 749R, so this morning, went rummaging in the cellar to confirm that I do, in fact, have a spare set of 749R yokes. So tonight, I may be introducing 749R yokes to a 999 eccentric. The plan commences :)

On the other plan, my 749RS/749R Factory (for the anal) motor is pretty much complete and my new painting buddy has photos and fairings. WSS bike may be back from Holland next weekend (3rd June?), then off to Micks for some dyno time, then fairings fitted, then coming to a track near you?

  4. Today I have done bugger all apart from sit in the sun & drink beer, then come indoors & drink beer & watch old war films when I got too hot. Pretty much a perfect lazy day.

  5. I've fitted the dark screen that JC749 sold me. Bike now looks very mean. Excellent! I even gave it a cursory wash.

  6. Laying oak floor boards all week. Had enough now, my knees hurt.

  7. Finally cut down the stupid hedge that was about 8ft long by 4ft wide by 7ft tall, just sat in the middle of our garden, it used to have a statue in front of it, old owners took the statue, left the hedge. It only took us 4 years to cut it down!

  8. Cut the grass drank a few ales then decided to book a fight to the IOM for Thursday night practice and Saturdays racing return home Sunday with a dull head.:upyeah:

  9. Perused ebay when I had to much work to do.

  10. He think alike. First beer at 1400 rolled down from then. No war movies for me.

  11. Switched my air conditioning on...

  12. Purchased tickets for Goodwood Festival Of Speed, wanted tickets for Sat 30th just to discover that youngest has clarinet concert on that day so we are going on Sunday 1st July. I totally recommend it to anyone who lives anywhere near, it is a lovely day out and the rally stage at the top of the hill is fantastic.

  13. Up at 5am and went Duck Hunting until 1.30pm (got 9), then looked after my 28 month old Grandaughter until just now, 7.50pm here. :upyeah:

  14. Got round to fitting my home-bodged silencer this morning, and it sounds....exactly the same as it did before:frown:

Never mind, only my time that was wasted. On a more positive note, I've been having problems getting the fuglystrada to tick over reliably, so while I was changing the can I decided to replace the race headers with the standard headers, and now it ticks over smoothly and reliably. Best I go out for a pub lunch and give the bike a try-out, then...

  15. Just taken the fairings off and had a good check round, all fluid levels and tire pressures o.k., now i'm ready for the I.O.M. on Tuesday.

  16. Figaro those you buy mostly do not work as well ;)

  17. Just fixed the aircon on the other half's awful Zafira.
Air con connection seals on the HP coil are crap!

  18. Been moving house since last Thursday...

    Three bed house, two sheds & a 1 1/2 length garage's worth! :frown::rolleyes::mad:

Halfway through getting everything away again, am having a cup of tea then getting the bike out before going postal & stabbing people.

  19. Going postal is bad, movie was rated low but it was proper funny. Movie critics are idiots. BTW it is based on a game Postal. GTA was not violent nor was Armageddon comparing to that game.
