I've skidded my way, on very snowy/icy roads, to the airport here in Springfield (Never saw Homer ) Only to find my flight to Dallas is delayed
Today I drove to work. The 750 failed to start - turned over like a superstar but didn't catch. I may be been a bit previous with the fast idle lever. I was short of time so I quickly gave up and tried the 999. The 999 tried to catch but wouldn't run. I could feel it laughing at me from behind its fairing so I bailed on both bikes and drove the cage. The temperature gauge in the car showed a few degrees below freezing so I guess that explains the stacks of attitude the bikes were giving it. What kind of idiot has two thumbs and an Italian twin backup bike for his Italian twin?
Finally come out of the sedative after the gastroscopy and biopsy. Don't remember much but the outcome is nothing immediately obvious and just need to wait for the results of the biopsy. Was I worried, yes. Am I relieved, yes. Am I looking forward to Cartagena in 4 weeks, bloody right I am . Andy
I went straight from DFW airport to a meeting. I've since done some washing and ironing, had a shower and I'm ready to go for a meal with a client.
MOT day today - it's failed on blown low beam , rang MR who quote £33 :wtf: for a replacement - will take it out later and hope it's something generic !!!
I've been skiing, which was nice. Not a cloud in the sky. Only did a shortish afternoon (important not to overdo it on the first day...) but it was great. Only problem is that I now have a bent iPhone 6, following a particularly (and uncharacteristically) high-speed wipe-out. It seems to work just as well as ever, it's just not flat any more.
Had a boring, mostly dull day at work, livened only by the ride there (chilly but dry), the ride home (in the rain) and in between-times, a brief chat with a customer who was getting his laptop upgraded/re-built. Turns out that the guy used to have a 900SS which he rode to Bologna & back one time, in 1979. He fully intends to get another Duc, a Monster, probably when he retires. A nice and unexpected diversion from the usual dreary talk on a dreary day
On a brighter note, you are 50% of the way to a 'cheap' pair of snowblades, if you find a similar iPhone user....
Rode to work 8 degrees no numb fingers, dry roads best ride of the winter so far, stared at a computer screen for 8 hours road home in torrential rain, smiled and thought beer sounds good so am off to the Offy as I have a day off tomorrow which will probably be spent washing the weeks c**p off the Panni
