  1. Not been on here for some time, sold my 999 and been commuting on its replacement GS.

I have a cagiva Elefant I've been renovating but have given up on this and have brought a new one that's running.

Will be hanging out again on here as no doubt Therell be a few questions re the 750 monster engine.

Like Chris I bled all the hydraulics the other day and the fluids were disgusting. An hours work for a shed load of satisfaction!

  3. £5999 +OTR charges. Throw in tax, reg and a pair of sticky tyres and it came in at just over £6800

  4. So in readiness for the benelli I had ordered a load of carbon parts from conquest carbon. Among them were heel guards. When the Benelli was delivered this morning it was already wearing carbon heel guards..dammit. Then I noticed something......

They looked mighty similar to the Ducati ones. I put the conquest ones on the benelli to match the other parts, then found with nothing more than a couple of washers behind the top bolt the benelli ones fitted the Ducati beautifully! I love it when stuff works out like that :)

  6. Yeah, I nearly bought one too. Apparently they have a few left in crates still in the North West somewhere. Couple of places selling them on Bike Trader. One even does (or did in October) 0% finance.

Almost worth buying one and asking them to leave it in the crate.

  7. Added a new Öhlins Ö decal on the lower anodized fork legs...

Now I am deciding weather to add a new decal on the original spot on the fork tubes or not...input?

Less is more, if you worked in a shop etc you wouldn't wear two name badge's.

  18. First time on here for a few days and just caught up with this thread and would like to add my condolences to you and your family Steve. It's never an easy time and I can only hope that the pain of losing your brother passes quickly.

And Phil, that looks like a cracking bike, and I'm pleased to read you're recovering well!

  20. I'm now at the airport waiting for a flight to Atlanta.

When I took my car back to the car rental I'd parked up in the lane behind another car. I put the car in parking mode, switched off the engine then pulled up the handbrake. the guy and woman that had been in the car in front of me were unloading the boot of their car. All of a sudden the guy turns round and kicks the front of the car claiming I'd run into him! There was about 6' between the front of my car and the rear of his!

His wife then screams at him saying "what is your problem?" and he says "he tried to run me down" :D She told him he was being an arse as my car was parked and with the engine off. I got out of the car and ripped his head off telling him that if he'd damaged the car then he was going to pay. His wife dragged him away as quiet as a mouse. What a tw@t!
