  3. I too checked out the scrambler at OYB today...it's great in its own way and I am sure that it will sell well but it's just too dinky for me...shame as I was looking forward to picking up a hardly touched one in a year for about 5k:Smuggrin:

  4. I wish I could say I got out on the bike, sadly a bass lesson and grading exam got in the way. I did, however, undress the bike from it's winter clothing, ran it to road temp, tested all electrics and fell instantly back in lust.
Started first time on the key after 5 months untouched (okay, it has been connected to an Optimiser but it is a Ducati) too!

  5. Yep....went to riders in bristol to book mine in for this years mot. Saw the scrambler, like it less in the flesh and even less when i sat on it...in fact...it almost felt embarassing.....felt like i was in the easy rider movie!

  6. Really pleased to see a completely clear oil filer screen, it would seem I do indeed appear to have the later steel oil gallery plug. With 25,000 miles on the clock it would be likely an aluminium plug would have started backing out if it was going to.

  7. Rode a bike for the first time since breaking my leg last August, only a quick blast down to the MoT station on the monster but it felt good and I'll be up the café for breakfast in the morning - can't wait :D

  8. Popped into rite bike in Bradford to have a look at their 998 s, after work today. I was very impressed and am still debating whether or not to slap a deposit down. I have wanted one of those for ages now and it's very tempting! They look to be in decent condition and having bought my 848 from them last year, might be able to squeeze a few hundred quid out of them...

  11. Spent all 2013 shifting it, none last year, stopped racking, moss back. Mucho racking ahead.

  12. Get rid of the grass and keep the moss or plant the area ?

  15. I'm an hour away on the 996!

  16. Spent the day at Brands.

Watched the club racing wit Mark and Dave (not New Member Dave, another one). Had a chat with AK whom I haven't seen in years. Had a Lasagne for lunch that would have stopped the storm winds on Jupiter - it was that stodgy.

Weather was fantastic, the racing was pretty good and I'll probably end up there again tomorrow :D

ps the 750 behaved impeccably, it's a little bobby dazzler :upyeah:

  17. That sounded good Loz, perfect day for it too. Had I had known , I would have joined you.
    Is AK Alan Knight?

  18. Don't cut the grass so short. Keep it longer than the moss and it will thicken up. Cut it right to to the moss and it is smothered and the moss wins.

  19. Will try that. Raking after each cut worked in 2013. Got lazy last year and didn't bother. Trouble is neighbours don't care about moss/weeds so it's a losing battle.

  20. Did a half day course as first on scene for accidents, including getting helmets off,CPR,choking etc etc. a very fulfilling morning for us all,and thanks to a Lee the paramedic for making it a good laugh too.
