  1. We've been invited to a friend's wedding but unfortunately, none of my wife's dresses fit anymore.

Looks like I'll just have to wear a suit.

  6. woke at 4.45am left Lewes at 5.30 and drove 2 hrs to Bournemouth to help the boss and the boy (window fitters) fit a kitchen (they should have taken me 3 days ago but left me stripping wallpaper on another job) (on chippys wages so i don't mind too much) drove past Chars house on the way i think A27? .... Got mad with the boss and boy as they insisted i do the work tops while they fitted the units. wasted an hour trying to convince em the their fitting was shit, 2-3mm does matter and trying to fit tops and adjust units after is a fucken stupid idea that aint gunna work . neither boss or boy wanted to hear this but after trying their way we finally removed tops, put the laser on and got shit level/plumb so 4 hrs work turned into 8 and left there to drive 3 hrs back to london.. yay! 2 days in sunny southall then back to Lewes

  7. Arrived from Dubai last night on time, and was through passport control and picking up my car in 30 mins, which was great.

I then drove to the centre of Manchester and met SWMBO and went to see Omid Djalili. What a funny gig. The man is hilarious and no subject was taboo. I'd not seen too much of him before but we really enjoyed it. Definitely recommended:)

Today is gonna be a bit of a chilling day, though I'm going to see my new grandson this morning. Tomorrow I'll be heading north to see my old mum as I've not seen her for a couple of months:)

  8. What's happening at Manchester airport these days? When I returned back on a flight recently from Mexico I was out of the airport and fixing a boiler in Whalley Range in under 2 hours! Gone are the baggage handlers of old?

  9. Got my stats today. Body fat down from 17% mid Jan to 13.1%. Hard work is paying off

  10. What exercise you doin'?

  11. Day 1. Run 1km, 15reps chest press as heavy as I can using drop set method, 15 reps shoulder press heavy as I can drop sets. 1 km run. 15 reps inclined fly drop set, 15 rep side raises drop set. 1 km run, 15 rep inclined chest press, drop set, 15 rep front raises drop set, 1km run. 15 rep flat flys drop set, 15 rep bicep curl. 1km run........

You get the picture. Never pause for breath. High intensity. Do reps slow and controlled though. Only do 1 set of each exercise but give it all I have.

Day 2 is the same but back not shoulder/chest. Do triceps/biceps both days.

Day 3 is legs and that's a bitch as they don't get a rest between the runs.

    Doing 3 days a week.

The beauty of it is I don't care what if I start with flat flys, inclined press or shoulder press, as long as I do them in my hour. It means your never waiting for a machine to be free.

I have been training for about 10 years and it is the only system I have found of losing fat and keeping muscle.

    But diet is critical.

  12. Diet is critical indeed.
I have done a fruit diet for one month: only fruit, morning, midday and evening. Pretty expensive, after two weeks you need to change all your clothes.

  13. I'm doing the carb cycling thing too. I saw it on that big diet experiment on television after Christmas. Basically, if you don't eat carbohydrates your body takes energy from fat, to a certain extent. So 2 days a week I avoid carbohydrates. But only 2 days as I like my porridge for breakfast. Booze is the biggie, unfortunately.

  14. Is that because you've shat yourself so many times? :)

  15. Indeed, if you just cut the booze you will see a huge difference in even one week time.
But hey, I live in Belgium, we have the best brews here and I would not miss it for the world

  16. Saw Paul Carrick in concert last night which was my Christmas present. Had a great evening, a few Squeeze and Mike and the Mechanics songs and a lot of new stuff. Had a run out today to blow the cobwebs away and catch up with a few friends. A bit chilly but enjoyable and the M7RRs are now bedded in and really encourage enthusiastic riding. I think the LV baffle might be disintegrating as the exhaust seems to be a lot more barky than usual, frightening small dogs and some very average drivers :). Out again tonight to celebrate my girlfriend's daughter's 16th birthday. Need to think about what to take next week, 3 days and counting. Andy

  17. Just washed and fired up the SRAD for the first time since September. She is very quiet compared to the 996.

  18. Just fitted an Osram Night Racer headlamp bulb on the 750. I also adjusted the beam - for some reason it was pointing way, way off to the left.

I imagine my having to "hitch-hike" behind cars at night will be a thing of the past now :D

  19. Took her for a little spin, kept locking the rear wheel.

  20. Why is that?
