  2. Just as I expected........back on oral steroids......eight in one go per day, plus anti-biotics.......

.....looks like I am going to be susceptible to any bug going around for the rest of my life.......

    ....Oh well, 'moon-face' again.....

  3. Ah, prednisolone and amoxicillin. My two best friends for a long period of my life. :misty-eyed:

  4. Oops - did my flexor earlier in the year - used to take a couple of days at most to fully recover .... this time 'round took a week of stretching to get the pain down to 'acceptable' (ie - treatable with beer!)

  5. Suggest Arque signs up for the Tour de France. He might well win it. After all, isn't this the meal of champions?

  6. I believe some of the cycling teams have quite a few vacancies.

The rest of the teams have 100% vacancies.

  8. Today went to Parliament, to attend a short debate in Westminster Hall. I had been asked to help brief an MP who took part in the debate, which was about Chancel Repair Liabilities - rather a dry topic I know, but one I happen to take an interest in.

  9. Today I finished re-assembling my 1960 AJAY took her out and upset the neighbours. LOL.

  10. Got to love Aj's !
I had to nurse a man with a bad ankle after one kicked back at him while kick starting it sent the poor lad flying !
Lovely bikes , proper bikes :) I have some great photos of the ones my Grandfather had :)

  11. She a cutie and no mistake, found myself riding around a new housing estate on it last night, just nosing around, its like a noisy manouverable, 50 year old 125 equivalent, not much use on the open road but great fun locally.

  12. Went out on a Triumph, came back on a Guzzi.

    My new bike...

  17. I like that Fig. I'll keep an eye out for you in the area.

I went to Walton Bridge today for a brew and a look at the old bridge before it goes. They are going to put the new one in place on Monday. Think I'll go down and watch it being lifted into place.

  18. Always wanted to try a Guzzi, I had a CX500 back in my youth and that v engine and shaft drive was quite interesting to ride. Would have swapped for a Guzzi back then if I'd had the money, maybe have to look to buy one if I win the lottery!

  19. I've ridden most marques, but I've never swung my leg over a Guzzi. No one I know has ever had one. There is something about the "anvil slung between two wheels" that I like. Must be really interesting. Good purchase, different and cool. Congrats.

  20. Bottled our home brew winter warmer (7%ish, in the style of Old Peculier)
