I'm off monday, if it's dry I might pop down, apparently there's a Guzzi dealer in Hersham I need to find. I dispatched on a CX500 just before I was offered a Guzzi V50 mk2. The Guzzi was better in every conceivable way. When you look at a Guzzi, it's no different to what Harley do with the Sportsters, an archaic engine in a minimal frame, same as the BMW boxers too. And I like that ideal, a basic motorcycle for basic thrills. In this case though, I'm pleased to report the Griso handles superbly.
Stripped clutch to check condition of friction plates. Thickness ok, but the gaps between them and basket are too big. It will be time for new soon...
Took my new baby for a blast......what a phenomenal bike the handling is sublime....can't stop grinning!!!
Got the straight through carbon termis on with matched ecu. Went for a blast to Manchester ducati to pick some clips up I ordered. Paid for them, had a brew and drooled over some very nice bikes, and proceeded to put the clips down and forget them - D'Oh! ah well, will give them a call to see if they are still there and collect next week (or get posted). And at least she is now loud and proud and a decent run was had there, back to watch some rugby and then back garaged. now to get the washing put away and tidy the place up a bit (what a Saturday night us lot seem to be having)...
Yesterday and today I have been mainly washing :-( the kids (both 21) mucked their sty out yesterday and then went off to work leaving me with the European laundry mountain to work my way through before tomorrow, when I won't be able to do anything. And before you say " make them do it themselves" call me stupid but I love the smell and feel of clean washing ooh and I've made stew for tea
