  13. Took a drive up to Preston this morning to meet a bloke who works near Sod Hall Lane. Nice bloke that @final_edition put me onto and bought some bits for the 748 project. Well when I say "bits" that'll be 2 complete RS engines, a pair of new RS crankcases, new water pump side case, 4 new barrels complete with high comp pistons, 4 new pairs of Pankel con rods plus 3 pairs of good used rods, new crank, 2 complete sets of new valves, base gaskets, head gaskets, exhaust gaskets, belt pulleys, bearings and other stuff that I haven't really looked at yet. Journey back took a bit of the shine off when there was an accident at the M6/M6 Toll junction that led to a 3 junction tailback and when we finally got to the M42 having gone cross country, there was another long tailback due to another accident so it took nearly 6 hours to do 200 miles. Still looking forward to a long chat with the guy who will rebuild one of the engines into an 853 for next year. Andy

  14. spent the day with the wife celebrating our 16th wedding anniversary and her birthday spoiling her rotten :D oh and trying to calm down after yesterdays trackday ;)
