Hey guys, glad to see we have another Ducati forum to chat on, I lurked quite a lot on Ducatisti, but posted fairly regualy too, so was gutted when it dissapeared. Bit off to just pull the plug on it's members, but i'm sure this place will take off and be a long serving resource for us all! Can't wait to get the bike up and running for the summer, I have not had mine out for two years now due to a major career change, and lots of other stuff sadly having to take priority, but I am looking forward to a long, hot, Ducati filled summer
Ebay and Facebook ..... o and checking the Ducatisti site every now and then. Also, lost my job and started a new one towards the end of 2011, so, been busy trying to keep the new job.
I am sorry sounds like either bull.... or at his own making by imposing that stupid rule re dealers and they used it you know give them finger they take entire hand. One website tripadvisor.co.uk strongly suggests businesses can only threaten at best.
Me mainly ISC, UKMOC and all job sites as lost my one.... Stopped visiting eBay because of job thing.
well i was not on STI long , chat a lot on a football team forum myself ,and multistada.net very useful tips on there, but single model site limits the banter
Hi All, you have Ruffs to blame for me finding my way over here. Mostly spent the winter in hibernation and spending money I haven't quite got on even more nice shiny and hopefully loud bits for the bike. Just had knee surgery so I cant take advantage of the blue skies yet but im in the process of fully rebuilding the brakes, fitting a zorst, replacing bolts and polishing it to death with the view of really enjoying the first ride of the year. Glad to see some familiar faces. +1 about the technical stuff lost but im sure it will all emerge eventually.
I have mainly been working, cycling and going to Uni. It's been four months since I moved back to Aus and I've been home for a holiday (Gold Coast) over christmas, got a job in Jan working too much and started at Uni in Jan as well. Now all of that is settling a bit, and I've moved into my own place I'm looking at all the race classes and clubs around NSW and formulating a plan of attack for later this year, woot! A comment on Dan and Ducatisti, Dan's a pretty good bloke and I guess he got fed up with all the crap that running a forum entails and fair enough. He didn't take memberships and didn't owe anyone anything so he can do what he likes. Anyway, there's a new forum now so all good
Except that when you take donations Tony, you DO kinda owe a little allegiance to those that donate to keep the site going......and much as I agree that Dan's priorities have changed, which is fair enough, to just pull the plug with no notice, to not allow access to all the technical info that has been deposited there over the years, having taken donations, I think is pretty crass. How was the Gold Coast btw...? I was there most of last year, about 5 miles from Surfers, in Benowa, near the Pindara Hospital........on the Nerang River canal system.......
Well I think he made it clear that they were donations that contributed towards the running of the site and that they were voluntary. But fair enough, we're all entitled to our opinions, and to voice them - all good Australia does not have as strong a club racing scene as the UK I don't have as many options to race and certainly not served by as many racetracks within the same distance - you guys have got it good!
After Ducatisti I lured about a bit in DSC. Its a good site, but not very busy. Also a member of several othe forums (Speedzilla, CBR etc) but nice to have a Ducati fix again. Always busy working, tinkering with bikes and cleaning off winter road crap after a ride. Anyone seen Antonye or Freshage?
I don't know about Chris but Antonye has a lot to do with the DSC. Might be worth contacting him there.
I think Antonye has already registered, I emailed him a few days ago and I think I seen his name against something or another on here. Anth
Well, I have been to Moto Rapido in December to purchase my self a very pimped out Ducati 1098S in December, followed by a 3 week visit to India, at which I spent half of it on a Royal Enfield Bullet. Other than that, work...
