  1. You know that’s not going to happen

  2. What about the lawful contractual obligation of Astra Zeneca towards the EU. It works both ways.

  4. Just had inoculation 1 at The Vale Hospital, Dursley (where I lived for about 3 months in '19). My goodness they are on the ball - I didn't even sit down! My appointment was at 10 but I was early. No "wait here", but just straight through. Back in the taxi and leaving the car park before 10. No opportunity to go and look in the garden and do my falling over show! Disappointingly efficient!!!

  5. Won’t be getting my vaccine any time soon now due to the reduced manufacture:(

  6. Ohhh, the rolling eyes  And thanks for posting all the tabloid headlines. I never read them btw. Unlike you it would seem.

Like Mr Farage said, the EU is ludicrously bureaucratic. And I find it quite funny watching them eat themselves alive. That’s all....

  7. i'm sure farrage is having a wee giggle to himself too.

  8. This is old news. Mind you, if it’s the BBC you rely on for ‘news’ I can understand. They’re always behind the curve....

And btw, all the vaccines being dished out are contractual. Your beloved EU were a bit slow to get pen to paper. To busy bringing 28 odd states to the table....

  9. Of course it does, and that's exactly the point.

If the EU have terms in their contract of supply that stipulate specifics then their issue/argument is with their supplier, a private company under contract with the EU. If they dont have specific terms or penalties in that contract then that I'm afraid is an oversight of the EU. If they do then then can follow legal avenues required against that supplier.

That doesn't however seem to be what Ursula is talking about, does it?

  10. I thought that nobody honours their contract with the EU. Isn't that the rule (amd the one that the UK never understood)?

  11. Astra Zeneca isn't owned by private equity. The vaccine has not been funded by that company either but has been sponsored by governments around the world. Exactly the same as the other vaccines. The EU although desperately short of vaccine do make sure that supplies on their territories are shared, not only between EU countries but to third countries too. It is within the their power to stop exports. We here benefited from them NOT doing that and allowing exports of 10 million doses of Biontec vaccine. We exported ZERO doses of vaccine to the EU.
And somehow you describe their actions as being wrong. Ridiculous

  12. not sure I will be getting my second one at this rate o_O

  13. I expect that they will prioritise second injections over first ones as otherwise they will just waste yet more money.

    I think.

    I hope.

    I dunno really:thinkingface:

  14. Just had text from my surgery I was expecting. Received NHS letter a week and a half ago but locations were some distance away by car. General consensus was to wait for this text which offers the jab at a location ten minutes walk away. Now booked in there for Sunday afternoon.

  15. As you seem to trust him without question no doubt you’ll be investing your not so hard earned in uncle Nigel’s investment scheme won’t you.

  16. Ooooooooooooh :laughing::laughing::laughing:

Anyhow, our self serving buffoons are managing things much better than the EU’s self serving buffoons....

  17. Just tried to book in yet again and there is apparently no vaccine, why bother contacting me if they’ve no vaccine.

The sooner the NHS is privatised the better, from my experience an utter lash up in it’s current form.

  18. I’m sure you’ll be prioritised as you’re Venerable ( not sure I like that description) and I would have no problem if you got your second before I got my first.

  19. Apparently there has been something of a hiccup in the supply chain over the last week or two. Plentiful supplies, more than previously, are arriving this week according to my local, non NHS hub, vaccination centre staff.

  20. Venerable, fine description
    Big respect @Ducbird !
    :)
