  1. You have out-stomached me! Don't wanna go there although my cousin does = warts and syphilis urghhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!

I say no more but she does have many gay clients - she works in London.

  2. My mrs had her AZ jab yesterday, doesn’t feel too bad today, bit of a headache and hot and cold phases but other than that ok.

Being sub 50 I’ve not been called up and not expecting to any time soon now either.
My mate who’s younger than me had his jab today, got a txt on Monday which must have been one of the last ones before they put the brakes on?

I read today the did 700k + jabs on Friday, 100k + of those were 2nd jabs. This got me thinking, even if they had enough vaccine they will soon have to be jabbing 1.2m + arms a day to keep pace, (half 1st jab, half 2nd) do they have the capacity to do that?
If not then the number getting their first jab will have to slow down?

  3. That’s like a Jonny Ball maths question :D

But yeah, you’re probably right. 1st jabber rate will probably slow. But I think all the high risk people are covered at this point.

  4. Just visited the local fire station here in Cheltenham, has been on the national news several times as an example of one of the centres making great progress. Very slick and fast operation; 5 minutes queuing and registering, stuck in the arm with Astra Zeneca and wait for 15 mins and done. Walked there and home, despite not driving they suggested the post jab wait as I was on my own.

Bizarre twist was that as they were about to stick me they asked my name, she might not have heard too well as I had a face covering on and replied to confirm with a completely different one.... This though was my birth name, both fore and surname, I'm adopted... Had definitely given my adoptive name as I always do. Can't fathom what happened and the chances of that happening!! The lady, once I had explained, was bemused as well.

  5. A NHS nurse friend of mine said that the second dose of any make of vacine jab should not be anywhere near as bad as the first one, assuming you had a bad reaction to the first one, your body should recognize the jab and be prepared to accommodate it with much less of s bad effect, if any.
She also said everyone should take the 2nd jab for full effect, but that we may have to live with this virus, or versions of it for several years to come!

  6. I just 'phoned my surgery to get the date of the second jab. Apparently it is not set yet but they said to leave it to them and they will sort it out. I said that I was only asking as the DVLA have been in touch. They now want me to book an assessment in Bristol. They said that if I don't reply or turn up then that's it and banned for life. I just didn't want a date clash which is bound to happen. And given the choice, I'll take the jab as I realise that the driving assessment is already a failure without even turning up as my card is marked. Anyway, I want to take the steps necessary as I feel that this is bound to end in a court case. It's interesting (to me) that the Police confirmed that the accident was not my fault and put 100% blame on the other driver who they prosecuted. Yet, DVLA and Hastings Insurance have the attitude, "feck, all that. We hold you 100% to blame and boy are we going to make you suffer more!" which is a very strange place to be -even without the pandemic.

But the surgery will offer a few dates for jab2, apparently, so there should not be a date clash. That will piss off the DVLA - probably the only organisation in the World to enjoy the pandemic! They can give their normal crap service but can blame the pandemic. That excuse will keep them going for a few years.

  7. Yes, got it yesterday - Astra Zeneca...

  8. Almost 24hrs on from getting an arm full of AZ and no side effects whatsoever, am I getting ahead of myself?

  9. I'd say you're good. My shit fest started after 6 or 7 hours. Mrs had hers yesterday. She's absolutely fine.

  10. Think you're in the clear! :p My symptoms started driving home and lasted the following day - sweats, headache and 'not all there' (that's what t'other half says anyway). But some strenuous gardening took my mind off it and gained a few brownie points.

  11. Yeah, everyone's different. I was fine for about 20 hours and then crap from about 20-30 hours. Then absolutely fine. Healthy enough to direct all of my hate to the DVLC!!!

Still felt bad up until an hour ago. Recovering now and feeling a bit hungry.:)

  15. Well, its now the next day and I haven't even had an achey arm. I'm fine. Which has annoyed the hell out of my wife who had hers on Sat and had the chills and sweats, the aches etc for a day or so.

I cannot be killed by conventional weapons.

  18. I had mine on Fri lunchtime. Felt my temperature elevate on Sat am for a few hours, but nothing otherwise, until my arm started hurting through the night on Sunday; enough to keep waking me up.
Still sore on Monday, but much better now.

  19. I'm too fabulous for Covid.
